Has anyone seen the commercial for fox's new "reality" show? it's called "Who's Your Daddy" and they have a young woman who has been searching for her father for most of her life. Apparently fox found him for her, but they also mixed in 5 other guys and she has to do a bunch of things to figure out which one is him.
Fox has reached a new low and I seriously hope no one watches this show. I'm all for playing pranks and stuff on people or laughing at the misfortunes of others, but dangling a girl's long lost father in front of her and not letting her know which is one really him until she competes in challenges is just disgusting.

I've seen better. Besides, its only a 3 hour presentation. It's not like this thing is going to be a full-out series.

I don't know man. They've apparently already filmed 6 other episodes. Although at least one TV station is already refusing to air it.

Oh for the glory days of FOX's 'The Littlest Groom.'

Oh what the fuck happened to our country!!?
I don't care if a midget wants to make an ass out of himself, but seriously, this is ridiculous.

Sue a network? After you signed away your right to sue?
Good one.

She agreed to do the show. She could have found her father using a private detective. I won't watch the show, not because I don't agree with it, but because it just sounds so fucking stupid.

This reminds me of a 'Fear factor', where one person has to grab a
mouthful of leaches and spit them through a hole in a plexiglass wall
into the team mates mouth. Amazing what people will subject themselves to.
Is it the networks fault for broadcasting it, the writers fault for coming
up with the idea, the participants fault for subjecting themselves to it or
the audiences fault for encouraging it?
Looks like Andy was right.

They should choose a girl who's long lost father is dead, then choose 6 random joes and tell her one of them is her father and if she guesses which one is her dad she gets $5 million dollars.

Not much of a post here, but I agree with your sentiment and nearly made a similar post myself.

I think one of the most disgusting shows to date was "Joe Shmo" (sp)?
If that had been me I would have hired the best lawyers in the world to sue the balls off the network for defamation of character, misrepresentation -- anything they could use against them.
This is the first I've heard of "Who's Your Daddy" - but I agree that it's simply vile.
Reality TV will eventually end or evolve into something else. - At least, that's my sincere hope.

he probably (unknowingly) already signed off so he couldn't sue.
no clue as to whether that's true or not.

I agree. Who fucking watches shows like this to make the networks keep coming up with more? Not me.

I love how many Americans are willing to whore themselves to the public's amusement for 15 minutes of fame.
Ironically, it's remarkably similiar to what half the people on this site do everytime they post. Everytime I write an article here, it's like I'm proverbially spreading my literary legs for everyone to see.

1: This is old. Commercials aired over a week ago.
2: Who cares?
3: She's getting PAID. Large amounts of cash.
4: She agreed to it, thus forfeiting any and all sympathy.

obviously she agreed to do it, so it shouldn't come as any surprise that they're airing it.

Hell.. I'd rather watch a dog taking a shit than being subjected to reruns of 'Quitunplets.' You should all be thankful Fox found something to fill that time slot.

the only thing that would make this better is if the girl starting 'recoving' memories of abuse...just for fun, they should have had a black guy on the show...oh wait, that would have to be UPN...

Fucking "reality TV" is out of control. Everyone needs to stop watching it immediately so that the networks are not compelled to keep flogging it.
