Whenever the wind blew it shook the siding. It didn't even have to be a particularly gusty wind, let alone tornado- even a gentle spring breeze could summon the rapping of the plastic boards that had lazily (I'm assuming) nailed to my home.
The thing that bothers me the most is my pride. My pride in my home. When I chose my home, I chose it because the beautiful blue siding reminded me of a cardinals egg. Or maybe it's robins with the blue eggs- my mother will contest to the fact that I am no scientist, but that's really irrelevant.
Although I am not scientificly adept, I am a bit of an artist. I can admire beauty in places that others often over look it, due to circumstance.
I admired the gently curving ashfalted roads leading to my home. Each lawn is equally green and lush, it's beauty compensating for its size. (I often tell my husband that I love his manhood in the same manner that I love the lawns in our community, but the literal world is lost to him, and I'm sure behind his gracious smile, he is unsure of exactly what I mean).
And now, with each windy night, I lose the ability to love where I live. I constantly dream of tornados, gleefully watching as they come and spirit the entire community away. I dream of standing before my P.O. box. I turn the key, and money flows from the metal box, flutter about me and spilling onto the floor.
When I reach this point in my dream, I am always woke by a particularly futive bang. Sometimes it is the wind ruffling with the feathers of my house, and other times it is my husband, finishing his self-pleasure with his small (but beautiful) member.
The bang that woke me tonight was neither of these atrocious things. It was far better. It was the bang of our shed (that the community requires us to have) falling into our home. The siding must have tired of slapping and banging- this time it was tearing. Tearing away from our house.
Joy filled my heart when I realized what was happening. Yes, my dreams have come true.
Many people find God after a death or birth. Some people find him by chance, others seek him. I found God tonight- he answered my prayers. He had seen into my dreams. My husbands erratic movements and furtive instructions were lost on me. I knew I would soon be in the post office, collecting our insurance money. I had no worries, and I was completely without fear.
As he ran towards the bathroom, probably rushing to crouch into the bathtub- I ran to the door leading outside. I could barely stand, due to the gusting winds and riff-raff in the air (including the neighbors cat, which was a bit unsettling, I'll admit), but I felt better than I ever had. I now had faith in God, insurance money on the way, and the siding that had haunted my pride for so long was sailing away.
I saw the tornados dancing just across the main road. I grabbed the hem of my flannel nightgown, and danced with them. The trees were bowing to the ground, and I bowed, too.
The sky loomed closer, the cat flew up and out of sight, and I flew away, too.

Yeah, you really should have gone into the bathroom with your husband. Or found yourself some low ground, like in a ditch or something (but beware of flash flooding).
Silly women and their nightgowns.

That was really cool...I especially liked the ending. Also, it had a charming, surreal feel to it.
