This was taken at a place called Claremont in Surrey, England. It really is a beautiful national trust area, with some really good vantage points and a lot of really nice pictures just waiting to be taken.. I have some more so if you want to see them just ask.
I have decided to take the majority of my course with a digital camera, because of the numerous things i can do to them in photoshop to manipulate and transform them..
Tell me what you think..

I can't decide if I liked the color version of this photo better than the B/W.

Shrew seems to be having a bad day. Floyd remains one of my favorite bands.

Not bad, Burn.
One tip, the big tree in the left third frame, you clipped the top off.
Next time get the whole thing in there. Looks awkward for just that one tree to be cut off. It really stands out.
Good lighting.

I woulda +2 this if you hadn't clipped the tree. The sky looks kinda funky in the colored one.

Nice photo.
Although I hate digitally enhanced photos.
Makes me think of bands who need eletronics to play music properly.
But thats one of my grrr things.
But I did like your photo though... nice view, hey..

i liked the colour one, except for the sky. it's good that you had people in it- gives it the feel of a constable painting or something.

It's nice, I suppose, but I never really got black-and-white photography. A friend of mine does it all the time, and so does my uncle, but I just don't get black-white.
But hey, misspelling Amateur really hits me in the nads.

Thanks for the pointers, It's not a particularly good photo, because of just a couple of little glitches.. I'm lucky with the portraiture project of the course because I have a willing model to pose for me. Main thing I want to excel at is the landscape tho.

That saturated picture's pretty good, actually. One word of advice, though: The Photoshop Clouds filter does not actually look like clouds.
It'd be interesting to see how a very low-saturation of this works. Maybe try emphasizing specific colours in the picture more.

Not bad. Actually, better than not bad. But it needs more contrast.

I did a degree in photography and i class that as black and white shite. take a picture of anything in black and white and its an easy way out, try the same picture but wait for a nice sunset, and it is far to cluttered to ba a land scape.

Very nice photo.
I think it would've been better with colour though; either only a slight hint of colour or the other way around - a very saturated photo. It's hard to tell what would look better without seeing it first.

Another Brit I didn't realise we had, or just a holiday maker?

Well, its not landscape as in the generic form, trying to fit a vast area in with horizon line and stuff like that, Its more just a scenic photo. And yea it is extremely scaled down, It started off about 3-4 times bigger than what you see.

For a landscape picture I feel it looks too cluttered... You can't really see much landscape! As a photo however, it's quite good. I'm assuming the resolution of the picture is higher, but you've scaled it down for posting on the site?
