Part 1 - http://www.ubersite.com/m/47397
Part 51 - http://www.ubersite.com/m/56409
I watched the cabin burn enjoying the heat of the flames and the vibrant colors of the flames. There wasn't much to the cabin and it was gone in short order. I got in my car and drove back to the city. I checked into a fancy hotel, I'm not going back to my apartment that life is over. I'll pay out the remainder of the lease and that's it. I settle in to the hotel room and order room service, when my dinner arrives I sit at the marble dining table and enjoy some very tasty food, all the more savory now that my mission's complete.
Over the next few days I spend much of my time at the studios shooting promos for "Survivor Retribution". When the network made the deal with me they told me that the show would be aired next to Survivor's next season run and aired as a fictional show. I was paid quite handsomely, an additional million for my story driven by me. The promos are ridiculous of course, "Survivor Retribution, the urban Survivor", "Survivor Retribution, one angry Survivor", and so many other pieces of mindless drivel but I like the fact that the world will see me get my payback even if they do think it's fake.
After the promo work was done the network gave me the task of casting the next season. The applications were overwhelming, word was out that every contestant would have the chance to win if they lived through the six weeks. I was amazed that so many would risk their lives for a paltry million dollars but hey, who am I to judge? I take comfort in the knowledge that I will meet with each of these contestants and will be sure to remind them of the stakes they are playing for.
With so many applicants I needed an assistant, I called Ron's old secretary, Stacy, and offered her the job, I am the one who put her out of work after all. She accepted the offer and I've found her to be indispensable while working through the applicants. We've been spending a lot of time together and I've noticed that there's a palpable attraction between the two of us. Nothing like the hot fire I experienced with Gina but given time I think our relationship has potential.
In addition to casting the next show I am also involved in site selection and the creation of the challenges and the shape this season will take. After much traveling and touring Stacy and I decided that we would like the next season to be filmed on a remote island near Madagascar. The scenery was incredible the wildlife was incredibly interesting, and there were so many places that could be used for shooting that it was by far the best choice. Stacy and I helped with selection of items for the crew quarters and after they built the facility got to spend a week there, just the two of us. Incredible!
Stacy and I finished crew selection with just two weeks to go before filming began. We threw a crew party for the film crew and newest contestants and really enjoyed the evening. We spent the remaining time preparing for the trip both of us now sharing the hotel suite I've been calling home since abandoning the cabin.
Now the time has come for us to leave for Madagascar, everything's ready to go and so are we. I know the next season and accompanying "Survivor Retribution" will be successful and look forward to continuing the adventure. Do I worry that someone will take up the revenge challenge as I did? Not really, I came close enough to dying and watched so many I'd come to love die, that if someone did come for me I could accept my death. But I also believe that I would beat that person, I didn't survive all I went through by being weak.

PS. I'm thinking of writing a series based on the protagonist of one of my Ubermadness entries: http://www.ubersite.com/m/50172
I think Stefan would be a kick-ass lead, even though I lost in the voting (I was Al Gored like a muthafucka, bitches!). What do you think?

damn fine. i don't dislike the ending as much as some of the others had, though it did leave a little bit wanting. i still think it's the best series on uber. i agree that ben's experience could push him over the edge enough that he would want to exact retribution (which he did in spades).
more importantly, i also think that being pushed so far over the edge can turn people into what they most despise.
thanks for having the stones to carry this thing to the end (although i see the potential for a sequel series).
overall, i wish i could give this a +umpteen bajillion.

"But I also believe that I would beat that person, I didn't survive all I went through by being weak." I don't think there is a better series ending line than that. I could just see the guy standing there saying that the putting a cigarette in his mouth and walking off into the windy streets of Chicago.
But.....
There is always a but of course. I didn't like that it would be aired as fictional, Ben should have brought up a fact that the contract Jeff and the others had signed said that their lives were the networks for some time during and after the show for promotional deals and such. Or something like that, that would have been better because if he kills these people on the show and they show up as dead? Someones gonna make connections.
But I must say +2 for the kicker of all ass.

Maybe I'll have to write an alternate ending since this one didn't screen real well. Again, you're all great, thanks for reading!

i don't get it.
all the firey rage that he felt over having been used, and watching 15 good friends be murdered, was gone with the fire of the cabin?
so he happily settles for an alliance with the network?
great series, possibly the best ever. but this 'ending' kind of went the wrong way.
sorry
thanks
cheers.

You might have a point on the related murders however if he's fucked up enough to kill all those people certainly he's fucked up to begin a new series. oh, well. Thanks for keeping up with these, I appreciate the comments!

Uhh, so he spent the entire series killing the people who put him through the ordeal only to happily make a second series? Bullshit.
And "Survivor Retribution" was screened as fiction? No-one had the sense to connect the people dying on screen with all the recent murders of the same people?
Have a +2 for the series, but not this ending.
