"You know what you have to do."
"Nothing is right in you're life."
"Just give up."
With words like knives the demon's thoughts pierced into the small boys mind and plagued his mind. The demon's deceitful tongue let lies roll off the tip of it and flood into the boy's head like rushing water. With every word that slipped from his lips he felt that he was winning the boy's soul over. He felt that he was almost there and that he had finally obtained the power to control a human mind. He felt conceited.
"Your parents don't love you, they just keep you around as a novelty."
"They would want nothing better then to give you away. If only someone would take you, that is. No one wants you."
Tears welled in the boy's eyes. Thoughts were being placed in his head that weren't his own. He was too confused to know that though. He was actually beginning to believe that he had nothing to live for. Maybe no one really did want him. Maybe...
"Yesss, no one does want you. You are a failure to your family. You are a failure to yourself."
Yes, the boy was beginning to believe that the best thing would be to just end it all. Maybe his parents really didn't love him.
As he put a single bullet in the chamber of his father's sidearm he felt in control for the first time in his life. He felt like someone wasn't running his life for him. He knew he could make his own decisions now and he liked it.
The demon smiled with glee and almost jumped up into the air when he saw the events play themselves out before his eyes. Only a little more...
"Yes, that's it. Take control of your own destiny. It's what you've always wanted."
The words ran through the boy's mind and he saw validity in those words.
He held the gun to his head for a long period of time and then the boy smiled.
A quizzical look appeared on the demon's face and he almost seemed frightened when the boy turned the gun in the direction of the demon.
"Not good enough."
With that the boy pulled the trigger and sent a single bullet searing through the head of the demon.

Necros slowly pulled the virtual reality headset from his head and stepped out of the chamber.
"Awww fuck."
Necros looked up to find the piercing looks from his peers. He had failed once again and he knew he was in for it this time.
"Necros, that's the third time this week. Not to mention the three times before that, and the three times before that, and so on. You are in simple words, a fool."
The other "Demons in Training" as they were called, started to giggle and point at Necros. He shamefully brought his head down and shuffled his feet in embarrassment.
Necros thought to himself, "How am I ever going to be a good demon if I can't even get a computer program right? I can't even get a mere boy to kill himself."
He shamefully flapped his wings in defeat and started to leave the room.
"Necros, practice your studies. Remember, we have a test tomorrow on Chapter Eight: How to steal a soul."
Necros walked in between other students on his way out of the classroom. Giggles and jeering elbows met him on his way out.
As Necros passed the last student on his way out he heard the words he had been dreading.
"Dude... you're such a noob."
He sighed and slowly exited with his pointed tail between his legs.
