I noticed a post by the lovely Ms. Siren just today on the 20 best albums ever which can be found here...

http://www.ubersite.com/m/41876

So since I am currently in the process of ripping all of my cds into mp3s, I decided to make some sort of list of my own. However, I'm not going to say my list is the best of all time. I am merely going to say these are the top 20 albums that I own (in order). I am also only going to list one cd per band, because if i didn't do that then the top 5 albums would all be Weezer and plus the list would be pretty boring... so without further ado

1) Weezer - Pinkerton
2) Cake - Prolonging the Magic
3) Beck - Odelay
4) Primus - Antipop
5) Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds - Live at Luther College
6) Marcy Playground - Shapeshifter
7) Beastie Boys - Licence to Ill
8) Nirvana - Nevermind
9) Smash Mouth - Astro Lounge
10) The Presidents of the United States of America - II
11) Filter - Title of Record
12) Jimmie's Chicken Shack - Pushing the Salmanilla Envelope
13) Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
14) Powerman 5000 - Tonight the stars Revolt
15) The Bloodhound Gand - Hooray for Boobies
16) The Brian Setzer Orchestra - The Dirty Boogie
17) Sugar Ray - 14:59
18) Eric Clapton - Clapton Chronicles
19) The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Let's Face It
20) Kiss - ALIVE III

Now go and rip my list apart all you like fuckers

This list is better than most of the "greatest albums of all time" deficitations that periodically pop-up on ubersite. Hense, the non-negative score.

It seems like the new hot thing is to think pinkerton is the greatest album ever.

There is a reason cuomo didnt like it, I think its whiny at best.

woooo you have (at least) 20cds in your collection. We're all very impressed.
Also, if sugar ray is in your top 20, you're an idiot.

Plus 1 ONLY for pinkerton at number one. The rest of your list was either shite, or mediocre to semi-listenable drivel hardly worthy of a top twenty list.

I was counting the Weezer Say it ain't so single which has acoustical version of jamie on it that's the shit. But there was also the blue album re-release which would probably be considered an album separate from the original blue album. I don't know i wrote that statement rather quick. The important thing is the top would be all Weezer Albums.

And xoxox to you too Siren ;-)
