flipping... rolling... falling
I land in a vast jungle, shirtless, holding a gun. To my surprise, this weapon shoots large red dots instead of bullets. I start moving forward, and realize I am being shot at from below. I line up my target and fire... direct hit.
I move on and notice a box on the ground, a large letter M emblazoned on the side. I run up to it, it explodes. I look down and notice my single shot pea-shooter has been replaced with an automatic weapon. Neat!
I keep going and eventually come to a bridge. I take a step... BOOM. The bridge explodes and I fall to the water below... I am dead.
flipping... rolling... falling
Once again, I land in the jungle. What the hell happened to my automatic weapon? It's gone and the stupid pea-shooter is back. Oh well. I continue on my journey and to my surprise, an alien charges at me with his head down. I stand in disbelief as he gets closer and closer, wondering what this angry-looking fellow wants. He touches me... I am dead.
flipping... rolling... falling
What the hell was that? The stupid alien killed me! As soon as I land, the alien rushes me again. This time, I am ready: I shoulder my weapon and fire. Direct hit! The alien falls over and dies, then he disappears. I move on and come to another bridge. Remembering what happened last time, I run as fast as I can, but I am still too slow. For the second time, I fall through the void to the water below... I am dead.
GAME OVER
God damn it, I didn't want it to be this way...
**sigh**

Do a google search for a NES emulator and the Contra ROM. You can download and play the game without digging your NES and all the games out of the attic.

Trick...on an emulator, put the two players on the same keys. Then run in the back of the scream to merge them as one. You know have double fire power.
Maddox did this about Contra 3 though. Not that I care much but you could have altered the title a bit.
