I thought it was impossible...
I live in a small Canadian city. Not too much noise, couple tall buildings in the city core, nothing too extravagant. The roads are black, like 95% of the world, black. This is where the fun begins.
12:00 ( The Lunch 12:00 )
Switch on the news, kick back in the old chair. Ah, the comforts of home.
News Anchor: "In Todays top story, A local woman was hit by local public transportation bus."
--Note, this was the top story, not the guy who was killed sitting in his car.--
News Anchor: "Jennie was walking home from school when she saw a few friends across the street. She decided ran over to see them. When she stepped off the curb, she was instantly struck by an on coming bus."
My jaw dropped in awe. How could such a thing happen.
The news anchor continued, "The entire incident took place on King Street."
I was already surprised, my facial expression basically couldn't change. Just before I could manage to make any logical sense of how stupid people are getting...
*The Phone rings*
Me: "Hello?"
Sister: "One of my friends was hit by a bus, can you give me a ride down to the hospital?"
I drop the phone out of laughter.
I couldn't resist laughing. How do you not hear a bus, a full sized city bus, coming down the street? It's a residential area, the Bus sounds like fucking thunder! More than that, the bus is Yellow for a reason... Yellow Bus + Black Road = Canadian Camouflage, right? These buses travel slower than a paver. How do you face getting hit by molasses that sounds like a jackhammer in broad daylight? William Hung has more respect than you do.
She bangs... She bangs...
To add insult to injury, the woman tried to sue the bus company, which had a bus full of witnesses, for damages. Tommy Cochran couldn't have won her that one. Well, your right, maybe he could.
Its godzila.

the one in austin powers with the paver.. "AHHHHH" "MOVE OUT OF THE WAY" "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" (times 10) CRUNCH
and the one in final destination
