ok well its really raining here, but im just sick and tired of people saying rainy days are ugly days and sunny days are beautiful. ok what the hell? who decided to make that judgement? ill take the rain or snow any day. rain is not only more fun to experience than sun, but there are loads of things you can only do in the rain compared to the sun (if someone mentions sun-tanning, im going to get mad) the next person that i hear say "thank god its a beautiful day. not a cloud in sight" is going to get the biggest punch in the face because people like that dont deserve to live.

blanchfor - I can relate to what you say about the weather changing your natural routine. The other day a storm came through, and although it's not really tornado season yet, and there were no such watches or warnings out at the time, there were thunderstorm warnings. When the storm came through, headwinds and then a downburst came through causing havoc throughout the town. I've seen tornadoes before, but this was especially scary because I wasn't expecting such a strong wind. Trees and powerlines down everywhere. I love it...

I used to love sitting out in the porch with my dad when it was raining, especially if there was thunder, too. It would be all muggy and nice and windy and the wind chimes would ring. My dad and I would talk. We don't talk like that anymore. I also love the smell of ozone during storms. I like the shadows the rain makes on the foot of my bed at night when the moon's out. I especially love it when the sun peeks out during a storm and the world looks all green. Virginia rain was the best. And Italy rain. Maryland rain is okay, I think. I don't really remember enjoying any rain lately. I don't think I've been paying attention. But maybe I'll start when I get in a better mood. This can be my incentive.

when it rains, it adds 1-2 hours to my commute which is already 1 1/2 hours. spending upwards of 6 hours in the car a day just aint fun.
but a rainy mid evening on a porch having some coffee with tons of thunder and lightening...i do enjoy that.

"loads of things you can only do in the rain compared to the sun"
Yeah - like what? Please, tell me of the "loads" of things one can ONLY do in the rain that couldn't be remedied by the use of a garden hose?
This was so stupid, I don't even know why I rated it in the first place. I would press cancel, but I really am curious to hear the list of rainy-day-only activities... God, I really must be bored today.

I remember back in Lousiana when hurricane Andrew came threw... I thought it was awesome to tell you the truth. I got the chance to see nature go crazy right in front of my face. Of course it was VERY scary but there is something about any little thing that messes up my usual routine or creates a sense of danger. Weird feeling I guess.

Rainy days are alright, but even playing outside in the rain can be harmful. On one hand you have your evil UVa and UVb rays striking you left and right, trying to get the best of your eyesight and plague you with cancer (although sun is good for Vitamen E, which you can't find in soft drinks). But rain carries with it a different tune, combining with the forces of pollution (mainly Sulfurdioxide) it can cause currosion and evil run-off that can be harmful to our environment and us. All in all I say sunny days because those little heat wavy rays in the distance kick ass, and it beats floods.

Yeah, you'll take rain or snow any day, that is unless you happen to have a career which facilitates the need for you to work outside in the elements. Then you'll change your tune. Bad weather + cold = NO PAY. Don't get me wrong, it's not all that bad. Let me hear about your feeling after you've worked outside for 8 hours in -44 with the windchill. I do it not because I have to, but because I refuse to let something like cold temperature get the best of me. You do that when you're a tough guy.

Rainy days arn't cool unless its warm out. And sunny days are better, you arn't wet and cold and you can do stuff outside.
