Stop me if I get offensive; on second thought, lick my hairy beanbag.
I grew up in a small town on the East Coast, and there appears to be no shortage in the amount of little rich white kids who come to school dressed in Rocawear and FUBU (For Us By Us - the name should show them how much of a walking contradiction they are.) I watched each and every year these little suburban homeboys walk into school and stress all of the hard times they have fallen into, and how livin' on the streets makes them gangster. The problem is, that these kids live in 2 story houses with immaculate bluegrass and conservative god-fearing families. What I fail to absorb, is how in god's name these children are picking this up. Their parents are certainly not downtrodden welfare recipients who are indeed a couple late bills from truly living on the streets. They are upper-middle class families with a shih-tzu and white picket fences. It's also their father's law-firm money that allows them to buy $50 pairs of socks with four letters on them. A daily outfit can easily exceed 200-300 dollars, yet hard times are holdin' em down. Hard times are a-breakin' their stride.
They are fully nourished, supported, and are products of loving families. However, the fact that 50-Cent was rapping about living on the streets and such, seems to apparently change their history completely. What ever happened to teens being a product of their upbringing, rather than of someone's they do not even know.
Apparently the "gangster limp" they walk with was a product of a "knife fight they got into yo the utha day son", or the fact that they are walking like fucking autistic children to make people think that they are hard.
I sat by and watched this wave of "gangsta rap" corrupt my neighborhood in my small suburban town. I do not in any way put down those whose culture it truly represents, yet those who are trying to act poor, why not throw their asses in the true ghetto for a night or so, and then see who is hard? I would genuinely love to throw 3 or 4 of them in my trunk, and drop them to Southie or Queens at 1:30 am on a Saturday night on the worst corner of the neighborhood. They will be clenching their original roots and crying for momma's titty within an hour. Less.
My apologies if this post doesn't meet usual Uber standards. This is my first post, and this issue has severely been gripping at my patience for years. Basically, be who you were fucking born to be, not what you think is the trend. Cuz, that's all it fucking is. A fad.
My piece is said. Go ahead, heat it all ya want friends.

*sigh* I was trying to be SUCCINCT, man!
"quit bitching about the MTV generation because we all know they suck, they'll never know how much they suck, and no amount of bitching will ever change the stranglehold that MTV has on our youth"

You know what pisses me off more than lame ass wiggers? People with the nerve to tell other people what to do. Tell you what, you enjoy your freedom, let them enjoy theirs, and I'll enjoy mine.
Fuck off, nuberon!
------------------
Isn't that exactly what he's doing here? Enjoying his freedom by voicing
his opinion about the embarrassment to Americans that is the generation of mindless MTV watching 'hip gangster wannabe', ground scraping Honda drivin', 50cent bumpin' punk-ass sheep?
Just an observation.

Not really
"Basically, be who you were fucking born to be, not what you think is the trend."
How about "be whoever the fuck you want to be"
followed by a succinct "quit bitching"
--------------------------------------
But... you're bitching about him bitching, albeit more succinctly.

I remember seeing these two 15 yr olds at a party I went to in College. They were dressed in PNB wear with huge PNB logos all over their clothes and talking like hardasses. You could tell they had no idea why the black folks at the party kept checking on them to see what they were about.
PNB stands for Proud Nubian Brother...

You can market anything via MTV, even an objectionable lifestyle.

When I see kids act like that, I just want to slap them. I had a "gangsta" flip me off for walking across the street slowly in front of my own house. Poor fella, he had to slow down to the speed limit. I invited him to stop and play...the gansta drove off instead

What's the matter with kids today, with their hair and their clothes and their crazy ooga-booga music?
Welcome to Uber.
