Seems my IP was banned. I think I know why but for god sake how about some guidelines so I would have known. I suspect I was banned because I downloaded a snapshot of the site for offline browsing while I was on a business trip where I would not have internet access for a majority of the time.
If that is in fact what I was banned for, why? Did I violate some unspoken/unwritten rule? If I had read somewhere that I couldn't do that I wouldn't have. It's your site, you can do whatever you want (obviously), but if there aren't any rules, how bout a warning?
Check my stats; I've been a member for over 2 years. No alters, no fake deaths, no cam whore posts, no gimmicks to try to get on the MVA list or the most heated, just a boring user, who likes to read. With the exception of getting overly excited on a few political rants, I haven't stirred up any trouble, I seldom even post. I mostly just read. Is that really the profile of someone who should be banned? Jeez!

Make a snapshot of Ubersite for offline reading? There are 60,000 different messages linked together along with all the other user listsings and such.
If the IP I blocked was yours, it's because it hit the site about 20,000 times in an hour.

Bart, can you please unban me? I assure you I was not attempting anything malicious. I do see your point now because of the number of hits, but I never even looked at the download once it started. I use a utility that does it, I launched it and went home for the day.
I wasn't trying to be a pain in the ass. I just wanted some reading material for my trip. I had no idea I was going to get boredatwork and all that stuff with it.

Coulda been an accident. There was an issue awhile back with someone using some AOL proxy, and myself, Kristen, and a few others ended up being temporarily banned as a result of bart trying to clear up the mess. Email him.

How did you post this, then?
Ive been banned twice, and bart cleared them up immediately. There are two things I know I can do to get banned:
- post a pic like goatse, tubgurl, or nasty bondage/sick porn. NSFW will not save you! If bart thinks you are a fucktard, he will snip your balls until you ask him why you got banned.
- post personal info re: OTHER Uberusers, especially someone he likes. He will delete your post and ban you.
Bart is not the friendliest guy in the world, but even as a banned nobody on this site he's been quick to send me a new confirmation code.
I donno why you got the axe, your posts are tame and boring.

I don't know Mick, thats what I'm saying too. It's just an assumption on my part that that is the reason, but that's really the only thing thats changed in my uber habits lately, and the fact that my IP is banned and not my account makes me think it was this reason too. Because this software that I use to download entire websites does not require a login. So he probably just whacked the whole IP range that was making the requests.

My IP address was banned. Not my user account. Though it may be now that I said that. I am able to sign in because I set up a proxy. No shenanigans.

Who is your internet company? You may have the same one as somebody that bart shitcanned by banning all connections from that particular company's domain (or IP range) to negate a dynamic IP from cheating the ban.
