This is my entry for photoshop contest #5.

The chosen image was a dissapointment. So I decided to mix it up a bit. My image of Jimi Hendrix is made up completely from textures found in the image Herpes submitted. For an explination of that go here: http://www.thefreespeechzone.net/photoshopop5_explained.jpg

I think this entry pushes the envelope. Well received or not, it's more artistic than anything else anyone has submitted.

I agree with you. This entry is the way it is for a reason. I think the photo that was chosen was a repeat of a previous image. Another guy throwing a frisbee for a dog. So far we have had to frisbee throwers and 2 jumpers. If the photos are going to be the same shit every week then you are going to see more images like the one I submitted. Nowhere are rules written stating that the frisbee guy has to be in the photo. As far as I can tell no rules were given at any point.
I want to see decent blending and all that too. Believe me that is why I started ebtering these comps. Because I am good at doing just that. ( see my last entry for an example http://www.ubersite.com/m/59039 )
So what I am saying is, I did this on purpose. I worked with the boring repeate image I was given. You want to see better results than give us something to work with.

You ain't DQ (like Shlongy thinks), but you've bent the rules too far to ensure my vote. Sure, this is a nice change but if this wins the ps comp, there'll be nothing but abstract submissions. And I don't particularly want that.
It's a great pic, and that's why you get my +2 here, but you haven't submitted something that is within the boundaries of PS comp. I'm no official authority on the boundaries of ps comps, but i am a voter in this and you can trust you won't recieve a good vote from me.
Anyway, this is the longest justification for a ranking I've ever given; so yeah. Enjoy.

I have been around Uber for a while... Seen a lot of stupid shit go on here. But you taking some jihad stance against my entry in a PS competition takes the cake.
I just don't get it. You still have not told me why I should be DQ. Everyone but you gave my entry a positive rating... So one could assume that the entry is both valid and half decent.
