Well, what I want to do next is e-mail Girl Scouts of America claiming to be a den mother who lost a child and is not sure what exactly to do. The thing is... I do not know whether it is legal or not.

Its the internet. As long as you don't launder money, pirate, or some other financial crime, most everything is "legal". Now, if you were to use the den mother bit to lure innocent young girlscouts to your home...thats another story.
