Speaking as someone who grew up with a massive collection of Lego, this was pretty fucking funny.
The Aquanauts' Base was something, wasn't it?? And the massive pirate ship.
And I got "Smuggler's Island" as a reward from my parents for going to bed by 8:30 for 50 days straight when I was like 7. Now that was cool. A massive skull on the front of the base with a coupla cannon and all those booby traps. Wooo.
Unfortunately I sold it all in between the stages where it was the coolest thing in my life, and now when it has nostalgic value *sniff*.
