Here in northern fringes of Sydney, Australia, its is generaly a peacefull and quiet place, a nice, gentle place. our crime levels are low, our parklands are vast and our waterways Sure we have the odd "ghetto" area consisting of dole\zero income dropkicks, but they are far between as most of said people tend to dwell in the inner west of sydney.
ahh the social divide. who said we're blue collar pricks?
Having been raised here, at least i can see what snobby assholes surround me.
North of sydney however, seems to repel yobbo's, bogans, and westies fairly well - for some reason i've yet to pinpoint. mabey they dont like rubbing shoulders with we rich-kids & snobs looking down our well pampered noses at them?
who knows.
That said, Basketball has never been a major sport here in Australia like it is in the US. Sure we have our National Basketball Leauge, who's games get fairly poor attendance compaired to the national sport of choice: Football. No. Not soccer, & definatly nothing like american Football, but Rugby. Rugby Legaue and Rugby Union are both grand games, and partaken in by Imbicilles and scholars respectivly.
But as a general rule, Basketball is played in highschool P.E. classes and soon forgotten by the vast majority of the population.
Enter Narrabeen. A sunny lake\beachside town, a population of surfers, familys and buisneses keeps its own on the fringe of larger towns to the north and south.
Down by the lake you can see pelecans swimming i'dly by the young couples kyaking on narrabeen lake. a few kids cast fishing poles off the bridge as a bus roars past at the beginning of its one and a half hour long journey to sydney's CBD. you get the point. its a nice little place to live.
This was untill the council decided to put in a half-court basketball court down by the lake near a carpark.
Here in Australia, we have a very small population of african people, and an even smaller population of African-American people, however we do have wogs. lots of wogs.
Wogs can be anything from greeks, italians, serbains, persians, croations, lebanese, lebanese and a few lebanese for good measure. i work with almost all of these races of people on a daily basis & have absolutly no problem with any of them. i honestly dont consider myself a racist person even in the slightest, however the traits of their youth are fucking stupid to put it mildly.
Insert baskeball court, and now every afternoon when i walk form my bus to the carpark where my car spends its day, i go past the new basketball court and its populous of wogs and white austrailan kid DROP-KICKS all hanging round trying to be black american. They have scarves on their heads and around their wrists (????) wearing Bling and other US Rapper paraphenalia along with american basketball singlets and space-shoes plus phenominaly huge pants. the older ones who have riced-up cars, are backed up to the court; boot open with sub-woofers DOOFing out onto the court while they a) hang around with the skanky whore's from the local highschool or b) stand and shoot hoops from the one spot. mostly from observation its option "A"
What i dont get, is where the FUCK they came from? i've NEVER seen any of these kids even walking down the street before?! and WHY the FUCK do they all of a sudden find it nessecary to loiter in narrabeen carpark. I know that my highschool didnt have any of these homie wannabee fuckers, and neither did any of the schools north, south or west of my school. so where the fuck did they come from?

Fuck the basketball court off, and take the homie shitheads with it. THEY ARENT EVEN BLACK! THEYRE JUST WHITE KIDS AND LEBS STEALING ANOTHER COUNTRYS CULTURE
funny that a month after this shit-head attracting slab of concrete went in, my car got raided. In an area with with the lowest insurance premiums in sydney ( because its so safe and quet ) having your car gone through is as rare as being hit by lighting.

Commodores and WRX's shattering their back suspension with speakers bigger than a house flying up and down the normally quiet streets on their way to the beach.
