I was about 16 years old, and I had just gone to bed in our modest house in my modest town that was all I knew. As I snuggle under the safety of my blankets and lay my head on my pillow, I can hear my father snoring from the other room. The safe sounds of home.

But this night was different; somehow, something wasn't quite right. I tossed and turned and couldn't seem to drift off to my sweet dreams. I realized my blinds were slightly open, and a strange light was filtering in. I go to my window to investigate. As I peer through the slats, I notice far off in the distant sky a strange orb. It seemed to pulsate, and it would disappear than reappear. I had always had an interest in the stars, so this really captured my attention. I think to myself, "Hmmm, I've never noticed I could see this beautiful star from my window, tomorrow I'll research it to see which one it is." Then, it was gone. A little disappointed, I was about to close my blinds the rest of the way to get some sleep, when just then, it reappeared, but farther to the left. "Well, that's odd" I thought. I notice then that there were several airplanes flying around this star, not just past it, but around it, and the star and the planes seemed to be engaged in an aerial game of catch me if you can. Entranced, I pull up my blinds and take a seat to watch this show.

The star continued to disappear and reappear not far from its original site. The planes continued their chase. I'm very intrigued now, and a little bit scared. I feel glued to my spot and I can't seem to take my eyes off of this star. I am entranced in its beauty. All of a sudden, this wave of panic rushed over me and I wanted more than anything to run from the window and never look back, but I couldn't. I could not move.

Next thing I know, I'm standing outside my house, looking up to the sky wearing nothing but my nightgown. The star is still there, but the planes seemed to have given up their chase. It feels as though the star is watching me, seeing me, wanting me. Under a spell, I get into my car and follow the star. When did I grab my keys???

I'm on back roads now, in the woods, still chasing after this magician of the night.. I don't know where I was going or why, but I just felt so compelled. I'm telling myself how ridiculous this is, what am I doing??? The star disappeared just then. Broken from the spell, I turn around and go home.

Once tucked safely back in my bed, blinds closed, I laugh about having chased a star. What did I think I'd find?!?! I roll over to get more comfortable, and again my blinds are open. I could've sworn I had closed them! But, through the slats, there is my star. I am petrified, I try to call for my parents, but, oddly, I can no longer hear my father's snoring. I can no longer move.

Next thing I know, I wake up 4 hours later, sitting on my stripped bed, in my nightgown, and I can once again hear my father's snoring. In the corner of my room are my sheets and pillowcases, folded neatly in a pile. I slowly raise my head to the window, the star is there, but I'm no longer scared. It blinks away just for a moment, as if winking goodbye, and at last, it disappeared. I stared at that window for 2 hours, waiting, hoping, and wishing it would come back. It didn't.

Sighing, I stood up, went to the corner and got my sheets, and started to make my bed.

This story is based on actual events of an actual person in an actual town. What do you think happened???

I liked it because I've heard of that sort of thing from Unsolved Mysteries in like Texas or someplace and I really would like to see...kinda jealous that you've seen it, but I'll still +2 you.

Or you're just retarded.
