It's that time of the week again. This time the competition went down to the wire, and after all the votes were tallied, we end up with a tie. A tie? How can this be? I blame myself mostly, for missing MrRottenTreats' entry. If he wouldn't have won, he would have snaked some votes away from either Williamson or Glam, and we would have had a definite winner.
Somewhere a few competitions back, I wondered what might happen in this situation, and prepared for it. In the event of a tie, the winner of the last week has the deciding vote. Remember? I stole that from the UberMadness thing. Adam won last week, and this week, he voted for Williamson (who incidentally didn't vote, not even for himself, but DID take the time to call me a bitch). Oh well, he wins, and the rest of us lose.

I just spent an hour trying to MS paint it so she was tearing the flesh off his face with her teeth.
It was going okay, until I couldn't find a decent left side of his mouth for screaming. I ended up trying to mimic the scream myself, taking photos of my face while clenching my teeth.
It was in the midst of this that I realised this was retarded, and then I saw Glam_Daddy's entry.
I quit without saving.

if people want an image with magical hovering text, they should enter the microsoft paint comp. photoshop comps aren't about who can make the wittiest speech bubble, the image itself should be the joke, without a bunch of crappy text trying to make it funnier. anyway, this competition has peaked, it is dying anyway

The rules are up to Herpes since he's running the competition. This competition may give humour an advantage over skill moreso than regular photoshop competitions but I know I'd personally like to see it stay that way. As far as I can tell, the basic idea behind the competition is that whatever every voter thinks is the "best" wins, it's that simple.
If you want to make a Photoshop competition somehow based solely on photoshop skills, noone is stopping you. You could prove to everyone how much more interesting your competition is. Either that, or make everyone realize they could get the exact same thing simply by going to a site dedicated to Photoshop competitions and miss out on the twisted, beautiful humour that is Ubersite's collective mind.
Face it, you love it.

these comps blow. most of the entries have text in them, which goes against the first universal rule of photoshop comps. a lot of these entries also have cartoons in them, and just a bunch of pop culture references to win votes. i know nobody will listen to me, but there should be some standard rules -
no text magically hovering over the picture
no speech bubbles
no cartoons superimposed over real photos
no jagged, poorly cut and pasted images made in microsoft paint. a bit of realism, people?
