I think they call this thing love
The translucent stuff dreams are made of
But what if dreams are not real?
Is their material just etheral?
But I really just have to hope
For that's my only way to cope
Men could kill me in the night
Sneak upon on me while I'm without sight
Murder me without a fight
and dispose of my body without the light
A fire could consume me whole
A gun could dispatch my soul
A car could crush me on a stroll
A knife could make my heart its goal
But of these things I am not afraid
I don't face the moon dismayed
When the sun sets I am not betrayed
I have faced danger unswayed
All alone that I fear
Is that you will greet me austere
That maybe my dreams are wrong
And maybe we don't belong
If thats so then curse it all and damn fate
When I see you my heart, eyes and body all elate
And if the world doesn't think its true
Then I have to tell the world that me and it are through.

kaos-king - the next time I want advice about the traits of uber from someone with a user id in the 16,000s I will let you know m'kay? Poetry does occasionally do well on Uber and even if it didn't I would still post this, I wrote it, I like it, I decided to post it.

I usually don't respond to my own posts but after reading these comments I have just a few words I would like to address to the following users
bickerstaff - Thanks a lot for that insightful peice of atrociously edited pretentious bullshit. Maybe you should try to wipe the semen from your fucking eyes before reading things in the future. Where the hell did you come up with half the stuff you are saying? It doesn't make any sense and doesn't relate to my post at all.
As far as your queer ass boasting I happen to read quite a bit and have read many of the classical poets. Next time do me a favor and kill yourself before ever reading anything I have written.
HadToBeDone - You should change your name to "IAmAFuckingRetardAndIWillProveIt" that way people would know what you were all about and what your mission here was. The category "Emo" doesn't describe all poetry, in fact it is a very loose category all together and used only by misguided dipshits such as yourself who think that everyone is as bland and one dimensional as themselves.
Furthermore even after you quickly identify things that are about feelings as being "Emo" why does that you mean you must arbitrarily hate them for that sole reason? Uh oh its about feelings? Better say something manly like, "I don't like feelings!" Good work asshole next time try pulling your head out of your ass before writing a review.

Ya know, the problem with the young romantic cats, and let's be honest,
we were all one of them at one time or another, but the problem is
that they think they can write poetry without ever having read any, and
that's fucked up to be sure.
Now make no mistake, young poet, those puerile twangs of meloncholy that
you are so sure no has ever felt but you, are all valid shit to bang out
a rhyme about; ask Yeats, he'll tell ya. But it's always a good assumption
that someone has done that shit before, and likely they've done it better.
That being said, write like a motherfucker: write on napkins with bar pens,
write on windows in old girlfriend's lipstick, write on Mexican whores with eyebrow pencil;
but write.
But make sure you take an ass load of time now and again to READ. Seriously, a
book of John Donne and a case of single malt should keep you alive for like, two
months. Trust me on this.
