yesterday i went to lunch with some work mates to the little serve yourself cafeteria downstairs. they have a few small tables to sit at but i always bring my lunch back to the office and try to get some work done while the phone is quiet. i made this giant salad, full of good healthy stuff, that cost about $10.00 and was actually worth the money.
after i paid for my salad i went outside into the hall. one by one my friends joined me while we waited for the last co-worker who had to order something from the grill. (the grill takes forever).
a heated debate about iraq was starting up and i decided i'd debated that topic enough so i walked around the corner and sat at a small table where i could see grill boy salivating over some sandwich being made.
there was a table of 4 girls right next to me and i caught the eye of one of them. she was quite striking, had a great smile and i could tell she was blushing when she noticed me noticing her.
in any other situation i would of approached her, but being around people from work i decided i would just smile back and hope to see her again when the motley crue of misfits wasn't analyzing my every move.
after grill boy got his sandwich i picked up my $10.00 salad, took a last glance over at the table and got another friendly smile, a casual hair flip and a little giggle.
i walked out of the room and started around the corner where i passed the table which was now behind glass. at this point all four girls turned in their chairs and started giggling, pointing to eachother and laughing.
grill boy thought the attention must of been in his honor, after all he is the master of the grilled sandwich and we were only salad eaters, but i knew better. i lagged behind the rest of my work mates on the way down the hall, but before completely passing by the window i stopped, turned in their direction and pointed at my watch mouthing the words 'meet me here tomorrow'.
she smiled, pointed to her herself and mouthed the words 'who me?', I nodded and she blushed again while forming the word 'ok' with her perfect lips.
i've got about an hour to go until i find my way down to the cafeteria in hopes that she will be their sans friends.
i've been day dreaming since i got to work...
