This is my experiment with the poetic form known as the villanelle. Hopefully the direction I took with it hasn't been done already. I have to think that it has, but to the best of my knowledge, I'm not plagiarizing anyone. Enjoy the lyricism and shit.
---------------------------------
It's lots of fun to write a villanelle.
Just try and make the words and stanzas fit.
It's also as impossible as hell.
Pick some rhyming words, and pick them well:
The difference between poetry and shit.
It's lots of fun to write a villanelle.
The next concern is knowing how to spell,
Which helps to make your poetry legit.
It's also as impossible as hell.
I met a poetess in La Rochelle,
Who told me of her secret love, to wit,
"It's so much fun to write a villanelle."
She drew me from my unexpressive shell,
Produced a pen, and bade my soul be writ.
But fuck my ass, it's difficult as hell.
I wait to see, now, if my poems will sell
Or end up in Advanced Forgotten Lit.
It's so much fun to write a villanelle.
When floods of fame and money start to quell,
I'll have to find some tykes to baby-sit.
Which also is impossible as hell.
As for my poetess and I, 'tis well.
Good poems are like a finger on the clit.
It's lots of fun to write a villanelle.
(It's also as impossible as hell.)

Not only did I really enjoy your poem, your casual demeanor in which you wrote it...but I really liked the form as well...and the mathmatically placed themes...that repeated...I like crimbing it with my eyes.
I wish I could give you a +6

That's nothing compared to a sestina.
My buddy wrote one called "Sestina for a sestina." It was great, I wish I still had a copy.
