While I shudder to think that you have given this a negative rating because of THE POLITICAL ARGUMENTS EXPRESSED WITHIN THIS DRUNKEN RAMBLING, I feel the need to rebut you because judging by your last reply on a post of mine you honestly believe what you are saying, and that freaks me out.
We ARE in a current stage of evolution you dumbass - physically. Humans are losing our little toes, our brain size is increasing (despite the evidence to the contrary), our jaws are becoming weaker, and we are becoming taller.
There are still monkeys because evolution is based on genetic descendancy. Apes did not "turn in to" humans - some apes ancestors became more and more humanlike.
You seem to think evolution is the transformation of an animal into another animal - one animal's genetics does not change from the moment of it's birth. However, animals with a particular genetic trait that helps them survive are far more likely to live long enough to breed, and thus, that genetic trait survives more often than the old alternative. It's plain and simple, and it amazes me that anyone can deny this, and believe instead that we were created in six days.
