I am starting a new political party. I am going to call it "Party of Opinionated People " or POOP for short. There are no specific rules of this party. In the new party, all issues are up for debate. We encourage members of POOP to think freely and vote for those who they feel are most reflective of our values. Unlike other parties, members of POOP reserve the right not to vote for anyone if we cannot find someone that we feel reflects our values. The reason we do this is simple, POOP is a party for all of the people in the world, felons, teenagers, even those not citizens of the United States. We do not want to alienate anyone we want everyone's opinions and feedback because we are all a part of the world community.
As a POOP member I would like to share my opinion on some issues:
1. The War on Drugs
This is very simple to end. All we need to do is legalize every drug known to man and tax the shit out of it. The reason that people sell drugs is for money. If we legalize all drugs no one on the street will make any money on them. The Mafia in the US was its most powerful during prohibition. Why? You ask. They were making a shit load of money on selling alcohol, which was illegal at the time. Some are going to say that we would have a crisis of drug-addicted people in the world. I say, "Open your eyes, Jackass." We already do. Now instead of spending tax dollars trying to stop them from getting drugs, we can make tax dollars by selling the drugs. Addicts are going to get the drugs anyway; we might as well put some money aside for burials or rehab.
2. Healthcare
I can't believe I am saying this but I have to agree with Canada on this one. People get sick, we should use our resources to take care of the citizens of the world. If a homeless guy gets sick, he gets taken care of anyway. Who foots the bill? You do. We might as well have free healthcare because we are paying for it anyway.
3. Abortion
Let me say this, let all the Bible beating conservatives take care of all the Crack Babies. When we get some red states full of Chris Rock look-alikes from New Jack City (funniest role EVAR), I have a feeling there are gonna be coupons for abortions in the church bulletin.
4. Guns
I like guns. The more people that have guns, the less people are gonna fuck around. Those kids at Columbine would have thought twice if they knew that the teacher had a shotgun under his desk. The only people that get hurt by gun laws are legal gun owners. So lets just leave it alone.
5. The War on Terror
All we need to do is leave the Middle East alone. Tell Israel to fuck off and sleep in the bed they made, or offer to move everyone in Israel to North Dakota. I have a feeling that when we stop bombing the shit out of everyone who wears towels on their head, the problem will go away.
Here is the best part. As a POOP member I don't think that I am necessarily right about any of these things or wrong. I am merely offering my opinions for discussion. If I knew what was right, you would all agree with me. I am sure you don't. But if you are in POOP, all you need is an opinion and a voice. The fact that you are on this site shows you have a voice. Now what is your opinion?

Wrong. Actually, our system looks pretty good compared to the American one. While our taxes are higher as a result, we still pay a lot less on average than Americans, and the service is way, way better than it would be in the States, unless you are friggin' loaded. So it's a pretty good deal. Plus, there's no need to fight with HMOs and insurance companies, so healthcare is easy.

Another perfect example of a contributing member of POOP. I now reconsider my thoughts on government run healh care. What about government Health Insurance not govenment facilities? This way we pay lower rates, we have adequate coverage and we still have a chance to choose where we recieve our medical attention? Thus creating competition. Also if a Medical Facility is caught in insurance fraud, the get there asses handed to them by the feds....

You're absolutely right however there's a problem. The people "on the street" ultimately making money from drug trafficking are the same people from Wall Street. It's basically accepted that control of the illegal drug trade = control of the world economy. Guess who controls the illegal drug trade? It starts with C, has an I in the middle and ends with A. I like guns too. If every teacher at Columbine would have had a gun, and a bunch of kids were packing heat too, we wouldn't have had a problem, they would have started something and had forty people pull guns on them.

Consider this my application for membership. I consider myself 100% POOP. By the way, for someone not taking a particular viewpoint and looking at these things objectively, four out of five of those points are exceedingly left-wing. Heheheh.
Anyway, #4 I don't like. They MIGHT have thought twice if the teacher had a shotty, but then again if they hadn't been able to get the guns it couldn't have happened.

I have another reason to make all drugs legal...to thin out the gene pool and get rid of the idiots. Let them have all the drugs they want, and since they aren't cut with drano, or thinned out with baking soda, they will be much stronger and the fools will OD right and left. If you want to look at it from a finacial point of view, it would take out the lower classes first since they are the heaviest users of drugs, and that would help because we wouldn't have to pay so much welfare. We could just make it so that you have a choice, use drugs or get a welfare check, not both.
I'd have to agree with you on your abortion opinion too, chances are that most of the people that would get an abortion would make lousy parents anyway, so better to let them have an abortion rather than raise another tax burdon that we all have to pay for.

The fact is that even with high taxes, drug prices for government-sold drugs would be lower than the black-market prices that exist now. The underworld gets its profits from the drug market, they mark it up by several thousand percent (I don't know the figures) because they know people can't do without, and because there are no guidelines.
Because of their addictive nature, people are forced to go to the black-market when they are addicted. Even if they DID have to pay more to get them legally and safely, an unlikely event, many people would do it.
