A beautiful decay is the essence of life
There is no false hope here
Yet reason surrenders to rhythm
Fully formed by the work of ages
No justification necessary
Expression is explanation
The mind becomes the soul
Blackness is again still full
Not of dark but of potential
A blank slate for the creative flow
The brave are not fearless but overcome it
Truth has meaning beyond text
Poetry of the cosmos is impertinent
In the face of all aridity and change
Cheese and chalk are both material
The end is still the sign of beginnings
Light at the tunnel's end not merely a train
Cold logic does not win
Nor give us over to despair
Because hope is not necessary
The wall is not there and does not exist
Darkness is still a place to go
Demand in numbers is only numbers
The value and cost are more than this
Philosophy has become a part
The darkness is still honest
Despite its arrogance in the small things
The world still requires change
Existentialism is not the point
Faith of the foolish is a curse
But the world is for social animals
Not simply lone travellers
Roses are not for one alone
They are here for everyone
Freedom for all who enjoy them
Fire needs fuel of dispossession
Solve this and the problem dies
Small-mindedness still the cause
The church of state
Corrupt in its wisdom
Never was it wise
So the fire is fueled by victims
Growing and sustaining
Though true greater progression is not real
It happens nonetheless
Survival of the fittest only in harsh terms
Anthropism falls completely
Yet the survival of the hardy
Leaves the worthy to progress
Hurting me is not only pain
For I will come to the truth
It is truth of small things missed
Again proof of life
The beauty of dance
Heartedness of being still immaterial
And still a factor
Indigo rays twisted of nature
Pushes aims to reality
Beneath the surface of reason
This is the point of existence
Barbarians say this is civilised
But they never saw the whole city
They speak truth but know little
Just for sight of morbidity
Others think I am negative
This again is false
I am simply self-truthful
In the face of happiness
Rising above expectations
Yet falling short happily
Killing is not justified
The requirement for others
A fundamental truth
We must be independent
Though the world needs love to go around
Even when this is hard
When the world is at war with itself
Love is only one side of the coin
Reason needs an opposite
Hate is not the other
But acceptance of the hated
Picking up the pieces
This is the base
It is the imperative
My truth is not yours
Reality is indeed objective
It is not about good and evil
But right and wrong are not untenable
These things are found
In the interests of life
Cause and effect are useful
Never have I believed without evidence
Situations need not be questioned
Truth may be deduced
The inherent beauty of the universe
A basic piece of fact
Relentless and untamed
Yet it is all from reality
Old ways persist in small ways
But only in positive truths
Good things may look bad
Like a white knight
Still carrying a sword
Blood only of the dishonoured
Strong against fallacy
Post scripted revelations
Like the missing point of an argument
More accurate than the original concept
Reason is an afterthought
We move because we must
Placing ourselves on the fringe
Giving ourselves room to move
Quoth the raven
Never more
Repeating constantly
As life is continuous
Barriers come down with realisations
The soul should not be denied
Even as it is part of the body
Randomness is not the heart
Unpredictability is life
We do not understand
Because we are a part of it
Duality of consciousness
Never proof of god
Yet this is still apparent
Sense of distraction
Divinity is not interventionist
We must make do in the here and now
A redirection of attention
Not to prayer but action
Faith without dogma and belief in self
This is the true fate
Throw away what is worthless
But not that which sustains
Despite its lack of apparence
It still requires self-emancipation
So reason and truth
This is the way forward
This must be through existence
Understanding and compassion
These are social truths
Lessons are taught
Not from above
By real acceptance
Black holes are not the end
They are part of the sky itself
Viewed from the inside
Nothing is perfect
If it works it is acceptable
But everything has an effect
Costs cannot be outsourced
Because it affects us
We cannot divorce ourselves so easily
Winged angels are only a myth
The truth is that we are all human
This is beauty itself
I will never treat others unevenly
Exceptions made for special cases
Understanding of others
We are all special
X marks the spot
A peace with reality
This is the pact with faith
In the face of dogma
Created through observance
Not of laws but of the world
This is what I seek
Your contradictions
These bring light to the situation
Strange revelations brought to the front
Explaining away problems
Still leaving reality to be faced
It is only fun
When it is happening
Zen philosophies are not in my constitution
Yet surrender to faith is inevitable
If we are not to simply wither under pressure
The poetry is truth of light
Creativity is reason itself
If the rabbit hole is here that is enough faith
Forever

I'm not military. I'm just your above average non-wishy-washy lefty anti-war protester.
If I was military, I'd have written something about my own experiences there by now. If you didn't notice, one of my posts is about... my first student riot.

You've got talent, and you have the potential to write some incredible shit, but you lost it at "cheese and chalk".
Out of curiousity, which branch are you? Infantry dude here.
