i was just wondering a few things about photoshop since i dont have that much experience and you guys do. so:
a) can i resize a .jpg?
b) how do you make a jpg? (i may have figured this out)
c)how do i import one picture on top of another (like hidden did on his 'thats it...' post)?
thanks, thats all i guess. i know this wasnt much of a big post so i decided to take hotdog's idea and make a little allegory between my dogs and the whole hidden vs oddz deely:
the big white dog (lets call him hidden101) was enjoying himself on uber site, basking in the glamorous posts from great people like loren, blanchfor, darth, ME, and others. generally, he was so happy he decided to simply lie down and get comfy in the era of good feelings (mid march). then, out of nowhere, some punk ass little newb (we'll call him oddzandendz) decides that he belongs on the scene as well. WELL THEN! so the little pup gets in on hidden101's territory and, like the story of the sleeping giant, hidden101 is caught off guard and goes into defense mode. at that exact moment, this picture was taken: (by the way, thats me underneath my dog moko, but the purpose of this picture wasnt to show my face on uber. ill do that later, when i find a good pic of me without a blanket over my face)
one last thing, dont get mad if the picture is too big/too small, its my first time trying this...

you can resize an image in photoshop.
i forget the menu name (maybe options?), but one of the entries is image properties. you can change:
the resolution, the width and the height. there is a checkbox called constrain proportions. keep this checked unless you purposely wish to skew the image. the resolution should not exceed 72 if the purpose of the image is only to be shown on a computer monitor. for printing purposes you will need a much higher resolution.
you can save a picture as a jpeg by using the file-save as and select .jpeg. if this option doesn't appear then the image in photoshop has multiple layers and you will have to 'flatten image' to one layer before saving as jpeg. this is also a menu option. jpeg is a lossy compression algorithmn which means information is lost when you convert to this format. because of this, you will be asked what optimization level to use and have to choose between 1-10 from worst to best quality. file size is the determining factor here.
to overlay images on top of eachother you use layers and there is a small tool window that allows you to view them. everytime you paste something in photoshop it will go into a new layer (by default, you can post into an existing layer). everything you do to that layer is independent, it will not affect the layer underneath until you flatter then image.
the real fun with photoshop comes with the plugins though. there are tons of libraries available but they can be expensive. the built in plugins are good for some things, but for great effects you either create your own or you buy them in a bundle. i haven't used photoshop professionally for about 3 years, but back then i used kai power tools and (i think it was called..) power goo? pretty neat stuff.

I'm #1? Well duh! As if there was ever any doubt.
One last question for you Evil. Did you ever read my answer to you regarding the definition of 'Get Bent'? It is a shame that damn funny shit like that is stuck on a lame-ass post. Typical, but still a shame.
Now, Get Bent!!!

Yes, but can I continue to tell you to 'Get Bent'? I assure you that I say it with no animosity or ill will.
I am only asking your permission as a formality really, I will continue to tell you to 'Get Bent' at every opportunity. You just had to ask me "like the dickens". Now I can't help myself.

ive got another picture that took place 0.5 seconds before this one, and my dog looks more like a possessed demon than a crazy dog. should i post that too? oh yea, and the little black one is my sister's chihuahua/english toy terrier Phoebe, who is really annoying and yet very entertaining. sometimes we play 'hot phoebe' (think of hot potatoe) or 'phoebe hockey' on the kitchen hardwood floors. fun for the whole family (minus the adults and the women)!

hey, there's no dick in MY fudge tunnel!
the pic turned out great. perfect size, and you kept the file size low for a fast load and the quality is still good. oh, and i don't use photoshop unless i want to make something really cool or i need some really convincing doctoring. anything i've posted on here is MSPAINT, ALL THE WAY!!! Loren is a wuss, and doesn't have the true talent it takes to make something in mspaint look as good as photoshop. hahahaha. i can't wait until Loren see all the immaturity that has transpired today.

That's hilarious, it looks like a bestiality threesome, the puppy humping the white dog's back and you underneath giving its batty a good seeing to. No wonder it looks angry.
Um, it's quite a scary pic in all.
But the way you related it to Ubersite was pretty funny. Although if it's true then who's the guy under the blanket with his knob up hidden's fudge tunnel?
LOL
