the other guitarist in one of my bands has an SG. it keeps breaking. i switch off between keyboard and guitar. i play a semihollow sheraton II. beats the SG. maybe its just that particular one. they cant be all that bad since angus young uses one.

This WOULD'VE been a +2 for posting about guitars, and a GREAT guitar at that....then you went and ruined it by mentioning Angus Young. Can't stand that fag.

I prefer the piano and flute, and well anything that involves more talent.

I have a SG standard (yes Gibson) I agree with you on the most, but my Gib LP standard just sings better over all :P
Some others worth mentioning...
Slash (God of all that rocks) sometimes uses an SG (sometimes, like when I see Vevet Revolver play in Jan this year) he also uses the doubleneck, although he just seems to rock it harder when playing the old GnR songs.
Justin and Dan Hawkin (The Darkness) used a SG doubleneck on the Christmas song as well as a SG standard on many B sides, they all kick ass.
Yeah, I forgot where I was going with this.
Good post, I like to see passion in people about music and guitars.
Rock on.

An instrument does not make a musician, asshole.

For the effort, but I prefer a pre-CBS Fender DuoSonic or a good ol' cheapo Mosrite for "guitar sound".
