I haven't posted on Uber (other than ubermadness)for about 6 months. I have still been a frequent visitor and read the most heated and select others entries. But today, whilst being bored and having nothing to do on a Friday night except my finals, I was looking for a distraction. A distraction to top all distractions. So I looked up some old posts to see if they had continued any further, but to no avail.
You know what I want? I want Razor to continue UberPulp. I know the whole thing with LordofthePost really pissed him off and he felt like he had been robbed of a great idea. But that series was damned entertaining to read, and I miss it.
Which brings me to the next thing I miss. Lord of the post and his serial with Uberia. The thing Razor got all pissed off about. The glorious story involving many members of Ubersite. The description and organization of it all made me fall in love with the story. The lego pictures revitalized my dormant addiction to legos, bionicles, and knex. But then he had a kid or something like that and the serial stopped without a conclusion. Then a brief return with a couple new entries and he lies dormant again for 2 months
And lost but certainly not least is Ess2s2 with his Mayonnaise of the Sahara. It was rather entertaining to read those until he went on a drunken rampage and screwed up his entire story. Since thing it has been shot and hasn't seen a new entry.
What do you think?

Y'know, in all honesty, the "Mayonnaise" series was really fun, both for me writing it, and for the feedback I got (when I got any at all...). But the problem was that the way Uber was when I left-being as it is the same now as it was then-coupled with the fact that I was trying to balance a serious plot with a story that incorporated a *jar of mayonnaise* as the main character, was just not worth the effort. Call it what you will, but the Mayo series simply burned out. I still write series, but they are all much more serious efforts. I really do appreciate the fact that people out there enjoy the things I write, it really is great to have my stuff read by so many different people, and if any of you out there genuinely enjoyed the things I wrote on Uber, I don't imagine it would take too much effort to find my latest stuff.

True dat, Rad. I forgot I had my own Uber-pimp on the payroll. You should be in marketing or something. Or, hey, why not pimping? I'll put on that dress you like and be your fine-ass uber bitch.
Okay, I am WAY too tired to be on Uber right now. Away I go. I was never here!

It's too bad that series get discontinued, but them's the breaks. I was disappointed when PMJ's Uber-series went belly up, but I think he just bit off more than he could chew. It happens...most of us are posting more for our own benefit than anyone else's, and eventually your own material can get tiresome.

Ahhh...my first linkwhore... * sniff *
Also, do a search for the word Pandemic. Start with Jack's introduction. There's lots of good stories that interlink with the world he started.
