There I was, staring down the barrel of an extremely big pistol. And even though it was scary, it had nothing on the person holding it. He was 6'2'' but easily looked 8 feet from my position of a scared fetus. I never figured I could piss someone off so badly.

I started to cry. He had already put a hole in each of my hands. I wished I could just pass out from the pain and have an unrealizing death. But even with the pain and fear, something in my mind would not let me give up.

" Why are you doing this to me?" I asked already knowing the answer. "Please do not kill me!"

But I knew he would. Everyone I told of him being my friend said I was crazy. But I thought he was different. And maybe he was in some ways. I saw a side of him no one else did. And I thought he had changed. Well, I guess I would be eating a little more than my words now. And I was not in the mood for lead.

But sure enough it happened. I heard the trigger being squeezed and knew that was it. Most people say they see their life flashing before their eyes when they believe death is eminent. I did not. All I saw was the mistakes I made leading up to this point.

To be continued...

That is what I was planning on. It is nice that a couple of people understand.

i liked it...a little short, but i guess you'll be getting around to that later.

everyone is saying, "you're already dead, so what's the point." - american beauty and memento were both great movies in which you think you know it all, but the journey leading up to that point is what makes the movie.

good luck with this one...i look forward to reading the rest. if they are good, i'll come back and rape this post with +2's.

American History X

--------------------------------------

It would be like he is expanding the split second that is the end of his life (the flash back to all his mistakes) into an entire story which explains how he got where he was. I think kind of like the movie "Confidence" except that guy doesn't die. A better example would be the short film "An Occurance at Owl Creek"

It is the thoughts going through her mind before actually dying that I was planning on continueing with. Although, I have no problem with short and sweet. Ingnore the to be continued.

uh, I do see some sense into what they said below...

How can you post, if you are dead? Are you undead or something?

Homer: Well, the evening began at the Gentleman's Club, where we were
discussing Wittgenstein over a game of backgammon.

Scully: Mr. Simpson, it's a felony to lie to the FBI.

Homer: We were sitting in Barney's car eating packets of mustard. Ya
happy?
