As the searing steel pressed into its back - branding it - a satisfying hiss and wail arose from my victim.

I could only smile as its flesh began to blister and the fats started popping and spitting right before my eyes, yet it seemed determined not to show the obvious pain it was in.

Slowly amongst the crackle of oils, the skin began to brown, emblazoning it with that all familiar pattern.

I empathised with it for only a second, realising how horrific its current position must be. but a cruel grin could not help but cross my face.

It was now mine.
