I used to hear these all the time when I was a little kid. I think they stopped when a Pole was made Pope. I was always confused by them because all the Poles I know personally are mathematicians or scientists.

I think that every society/group of people/whatnot tells jokes at the expense of the 'other'. Here in Minnesota, people tells jokes about people from Wisconsin or Iowa. In Ohio, its jokes about W. Virginians. When I lived in Toronto, people told jokes about 'Newfies'(people from Newfoundland). I've heard Brits tell jokes about the Irish or Pakistanis and the French(who shouldn't be throwing stones)about Arabs. To reiterate a comment from a previous joke post...yeah, they're not exactly PC, but they're usually pretty freakin' funny.

I have seen this thread - it isn't half as funny as some other polish jokes I've heard ;) What you now think of as polish jokes are mostly reincarnations of earlier ethnic jokes which followed the various waves of emigration to your country. Poles were the last large wave before hispanics. Before Poles there were Irish jokes, Italian Jokes and jokes made at the expense of other groups ... When I was young & dumb, I used to react quite violently to that kind of jibe but now I see it as an acknowledgment of the import polish immigration had in this country. Go ahead, I'll be the polish ( and jewish )joke of Uber if you like ;)

The joke is funny, but nowadays the PC thing to do to tell a joke like this is to change the word "Pollak" to "Blonde."
Bonita Titinta--I think it started some time back in the early 1900's that Pols became the butt of everybodies jokes. WWI maybe. I'm sure Yid will correct me on this, but I think the Pols were easy to conqur and therefore though to be lame-brained bafoons.
Truth be told, the Pols have contributed a lot to this world. Solar powered flash lights, screen doors on Submarines, and they are planning that expedition to the sun, going at night so it won't be as hot.

OT, for I am trying not to piss anyone off with a new post here...
I'm sitting here chilling out to, what I guess, is a new song. This song brings back deep memories. This guy's voice reminds me so much of Kurt Kobain's, yet I know in fact it's not his. Nor is it by Puddle of Mudd (because I think that guy sounds like Kobain also). Well, maybe only to ME, it sounds like Nirvana, but maybe not to any of you. It does, though, have a grungy sound to it. I just heard this song today and I can't take my headphones off because it has me mesmorized. I really don't know why, because the main riff in the song is just some corny up down up down tune, and the words aren't great at all, yet I'm here listening to it and I like it. Maybe I'm just crazy. Well it's Driven Under by Seether...
