I just got home from watching Margaret Cho in concert here in Hawaii and it was fucking hilarious. I was just wondering who is Uber's most popular comedian. My personal favorite is Richard Jeni. If you have ever seen him live then you will understand. Please list your favorite comedian and the reasons why they are your favorite.

Don't let the drag queen aspect scare ya. Eddie Izzard is very smart, and very funny. A lot of his stand up is just improvising on the spot, and he does it well and with a smile. One of thhe only worthy british stand up comics in the biz in my opinion. Go watch "Dressed to Kill" and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Oh yeah, I think Margaret Cho is stupid. She just does dumb impressions of her mother and talks about getting her period. I really don't know any female comedians that I think are funny, and I've seen plenty.
If anyone has seen Amazing Jonathan, he is really funny. He's a hybrid of comedian and magician.
Dennis Leary is NOT funny. He just has a scratchy voice and bitches and bitches and bitches. He tries to act all tough except it's just stupid. It's sort of like lewis black, just not nearly as logical or funny.
Conan O'Brian has the best late night show, I don't know why they always show him last. However, he is on comedy central now during the day which is great.
Uhh who else, Chris Rock is NOT funny. All he does is play the race card and talk about how the 'black man' can't get no justice. Tha 'white man' has a tight ass and can't dance. He's probably never worked on his material, and even when it was new...it really wasn't.

I'd have to say Sinbad. Yeah his movies suck, tv shows sucked, but his stand-up is great. Chapelle show is good too.
I don't see why so many people like Eddie Izzard, some of my friends raved about him. They are also people who liked the movies Daredevil and Phone Booth, so go figure.
I saw some of his stand-up, he's just some big english flamer. Since so many people like him there are two things that come to mind.
1)I simply don't understand transvestite/english humor.
2)Everyone is an idiot.
I think it is a mix of both. The betters friends of mine also saw him and did not think he was funny at all.

Those are some of my favorites. The third one is a personal friend of mine who has opened for Carrot Top and BobCat Goldwaith as well as comedians who have toured with Pauly Shore, made films, and appeared on Comedy Central. She hasn't made it yet but she kicks ass and tours like crazy. If you ever hear of her coming to your town check her out. Funniest female comedian by far(that's because she is a lesbian, so she has a raunchy male sense of humor)

I forgot another one my new favs, Daivd Cross, he jsut came out with a new CD, "Shut up you Fuckin baby" its some good shit. He talks about 9/11 a lot and Chenney. He doesnt hold back at all. Also, I saw Greg Fitzsimmons on the other day, he's pretty good also. Nick Swardson is pretty good. Conan is always great.

I just went to see Dave Chapelle at the Tower (Philadelphia) on Friday. We got the seats on ticketmaster and I had never been there before. We walked in and my ticket said section CCC, I fgured it to be in the way back or orchestra section but the guy looks at it, points towards the stage, and says "Go allll the way down". Fucking great. I got to sit in the 1st row for fucking Dave Chapelle. He was so god damn funny he made me cry a few times and if you knew me at all, you'd know that I'm a hard person to make laugh (let alone cry).

How is that noone has mentioned Denis Leary? He kicks ass. So does Steven Lynch. Bill Hicks 'Beer v. Pot'..good stuff. Margaret Cho couldn't be funny if she tried. She's worse than Martin Lawrence, who is the black version of CarrotTop. Chris Rock is good, so is Dave Chappelle.

jim bruer used to be the shit, especially on pulp comics and premium blend. but now, after hardcore, hes just another ill-informed white guy. at least hes still kinda funny, but mostly he just makes me uneasy with his cracks on middle easterners or whatnot.

margaret cho would be funnier if she got better material. seriously, 90% is 'im chinese', 'my mom is a psycho chinese lady', or 'i love penises'. my favorites are steven lynch, dane cook, dana carvey, and a very far off eddie izzard. that guy is hilarious AND genius, but he creeps me out to the nth degree.
