Here in Australia we have five free-to-air TV channels. Three of them are showing the Pope's funeral as I write this. Yes, three of them. Yeah so most Christians in the world are Catholic, we don't need three fucking channels of this shit.
Most of the world's Catholics are in Africa and South America aren't they? Not Australia. And even if they were why do we need 60% of our TV channels showing this shit?
I wanted to come home tonight, the last day of University before the mid-semester break (which I spent drinking up in the uni bar instead of going to lectures) to chill and watch the friday night movies, you know, to relax and stuff. Instead the goddamn Pope's funeral is on every channel.
I hate people. there's so many people crying about the Pope dying. He's been filling up newspapers for the last week. Who gives a fuck, seriously?
People are actually crying about him dying. If he was a dog he would have been shot ten years ago. He couldn't even talk for fuck's sake.
People are going on about the difference he made to world and how he's done all this good shit.
What the fuck has he done for the world?
Something like three quarters of the third world have AIDS* because he goes around telling not wear condomns lest they waste their seed. What a crock of shit.
People's lives have been fucked up because of the Catholic church telling people all this absolute shit about how to live their lives. But fuck those Catholic dickheads, they deserve to get AIDS if they're too stupid to make up their own minds about how to live their own lives.
I don't mind Christians normally, they may be misgiuded but hey, they can believe whatever they want**. But Catholics piss me off. The Pope did nothing for this world except fuck it up, like every Pope before him, so I hate it when people are crying about his death and acting like he was the saviour of every single human.

I believe a lot of the worship given to the Pope as a whole is misguided, considering the origins of the religion he represents. I also believe he, or the Church as a whole, is significantly responsible for millions of AIDS deaths due to his stance on contraception.
I also believe this was horseshit, and that you could live without television for the half day that they showed the Pope's funeral. -2Die.

Half of Africa has AIDS because The Pope, as the leader of the Catholic church has absolutely no sway in the opinion of African tribesmen, told catholics not to wear rubbers?
1. Condoms don't prevent AIDS, they lower the risk.
2. Most AIDS infections occur because of beliefs that sex with virgins cure AIDS.
3. What average African can afford to buy condoms?
4. Did I mention that most Africans aren't catholic, and what the Pope says doesn't mean shit to them?

8. Besides, offspring are more important in African culture than they are in America, and believe it or not often times africans will have sex to get pregnant, meaning they would choose not to wear condoms even if freely available and they were properly educated on their use.

10. The Pope died. To a large population of the world, this is akin to the president dieing. This is important to them. It's going to be on TV. Deal with it.

This pope was a pretty good leader all things considered. Nobody's perfect.
And 26% of Australia is Roman Catholic. So, when the leader of 26% of the population dies expect 3 channels to show his funeral.

For the record, most africans who die of Aids do so because of their own stupidity, not because the pope told them to. They don't use a condom because either
a) they don't know what a condom is
b) fucking without condom feels better
c) they think that if they have Aids and fuck a virging, Aids will go away. That is the reason for the majority of infections

In my store we sell HI-DEF plasma TVs and all that highend stuff too, and i walk over there, and guess what i see. There was a commerical explaining that they were going to broadcast the funeral in Hi-DEF. Ok, i guess every non-cable channel i can think of in my area playing it isnt that bad....but why would you need his services in Hi-DEF?

-1 because he did a fuckload for his homeland of poland. At the time of the world wars many many poles fled to the four corners of the world and still keep their polish identities. To these catholics the world over this pope really is a source of massive pride.
