Okay, so here's to the asshole that thought that e-mail was secure and forgets that anything you type could be forwarded to each and every one of your friends, family, enemies, employers, etc. Like the whole cum is yum claire swire mistake.
Well today one of our vendors Bcc'ed us on an e-mail that another vendor sent him, requesting parts....This vendor is particularly absent, doesn't return phone calls, is late with shipments, etc. etc.
Let me illustrate. Our annoying vendor states:
"Please see the following, they can be a pain in the *%$#. Can you let me know pricing for the special parts with handles?
I mentioned to them when we rushed these we only had the standard parts.
Also an RMA #."
What a dork, he emails someone that's not even associated with his company about this, someone who we happen to buy other things from, and someone who would be HAPPY to take our orders instead of this ass. HA!
So my boss replies:
"I was very distressed to see the disparaging comment in email below. I have always throught of our working relationship as mutually respectful and beneficial. If that is not the case, please advise me directly."
My boss rocks.

update. we've decided not to use this vendor anymore. BUT the problem is that he gets commission on sales from this other company that we like doing business with. So we're going to try to order direct, but this guy is a gossip and could cause problems. He called my boss back yesterday and rather than grovel (which would have been the APPROPRIATE THING to do), complained about some of our recent requests, which were not in any way out of line. Ugh. sucky vendors.

I sent an e-mail to my idiot sister bitching about how my parents and my boyfriend's parents were all coming to my house for X-mas Eve. Somehow she fucked it up and sent it to my mom. It took about half the night, but we figured out my mom's e-mail password and deleted it.

I screwed up a reply one time. I was going back and forth with another net admin in my office. He asked me to go buy him a tuna sandwhich at subway. well, I replyed in huge pink 76 font that "you smell like fish" but I actually sent it to a different person who had just e-mailed me regarding an e-mail account, she happened to be a female. I felt like such an ass. oh well she was kinda funky!

I fucked up sending an e-mail to the wrong person yesterday. Fortunately, I know of the stellar "Recall" function in Outlook. Woo hoo!

Sounds like you have a decent boss - taking your employees out for lunch and what not. Doesn't seem to be as chock full of bs as so many others
