Ten Brooks, he was from Memphis.
Always worked hard and
thought about being a good man.
But things knocked him down.
Someone heard them things.
Like, "That one at the "Eats" cost too much."
Yeah, too much for him to bear.
So TB looked away. He just looked away.
But Ol Brooks never looked too far...
After work he sits and stares with his bourbon and rye.
And you know he doesn't carry a thing on his side.
Not anything at all.
An' that's ok...he's afraid for the "girl-ready made-man girl".
And now he knows....
