As I am writing this my eyes are burning and my brain is frying thanks to several hours of entering pascal coding into Borland Delphi 7, a program development application. As some of you will know, and as some of you will have guessed, this is probably as exciting as watching a re-run of the amazingly dull 'desperate housewives' (if you dissagree that this drivel is boring then the continuously repeated advertisements informing us that desperate housewives is infact the most entertaining phenomenon yet to be seen on British television, have had their way with you).

Anyhow......before I diverged my main point was that I am bored, and so to illeviate me somewhat from this pathetic Ive decided to ask a pointless philosophical question to amuse myself. I have my own opinons on the crap I am about to blurt, but Im interested as to what other think.......

You are aware of everything that exist around you via your own senses, smell, touch, hearing and sight. The actual confirmation of the existence of the world around us is stored in our brains.....with out any senses at all, we probably wouldnt have much clue about anything at all.... apart from what is inate. Our own minds are temporary, or so I am led to beleive, and when they cease to exist, so do all the memories and facts we have occumilated etc. Therefore, how can we be sure that anything can actually exist at all if our only prove of it exists in ever changing temporary records that become distorted over time?

It I was mainly refering to material things, trees, people, anything really. I suppose you could doubt the existence of another persons thoughts since as they are only the result of chemical release and impulses, or even your own thoughts for that matter.

Yes you can go home, dont let me keep you.

What about pictures or building remains? Or were you thinking about our thoughts and other intangible things?

Can I go home yet?

I think desperate housewives is good. who wouldn't want to watch beautiful people murdering each other with hilarious consequences?

Time to fertilize the lawn. A couple of 500-pound bags should do it!
