NECROSIAC 43

The first story in the series can be found here.

http://www.ubersite.com/m/40647

Lillith stepped from the truck to the sidewalk, tilted her head to the other side with an atypical "Snap" and surveyed her surroundings.

It felt good to be back in the comforting chill of her battered shell. In fact she felt better than good. Her powers had grown beyond her imagination during her imprisonment. She could feel the wonderful darkness of her Necrosiac self writhing within her, itching to be set free, straining for release.

And then there were the voices.

It had started as a singular whisper, a barely audible breeze in her ear as she rode silently in the truck. Over time, the voice had become louder as if gaining strength. It whispered to her of dark secrets. It told her that it had known her brother and how he had died. It spoke to her of the town ahead and the souls within it and let her know she was right, she had found the orchard.

It soothed and purred and lied in her ear and then it sang. It sang to her in Deadspeak. It sang of the end of days and the feast to come, and as it sang it was joined by a dark chorus as if the children of Lucifer himself had come to entertain her.

Lillith did her best to tear her mind from the increasing volume of the Demonic crescendo in her ears and walked into the center of Vanderhaven's main street. She held her arms out, palms up and turned her face towards the hateful glare of the sun.

She smiled, knowing she had become her father's daughter. She had followed the path of the trinity, to the orchard, and stood ready for the harvest.

She would let the death within her out to play and usher in an era unlike anything ever seen before. She would feed and dance and be worshipped as she ripped the souls from lover and hater alike.

She would do what she had been born to do.

Lillith screamed her fathers name then ripped open her dress, threw her arms wide, and released hell.

Two blocks away, on Meadow Street, Bill Platt looked down at the half full glass of milk in his hand in puzzlement. He could have sworn the first couple of gulps from it had been fine but suddenly it tasted sour. He went to the sink, emptied the glass and rinsed it out then returned to the table and the carton of milk he'd purchased two hours prior. He tilted the carton again then reeled away in disgust as a dollop of rotting white sludge dropped out of it.

On the other side of town, on the corner of Patterson and 5th Street. Sheila Millard stood in her back yard and ran one shaking hand through her graying hair. She'd seen a lot of strange things in her 70 odd years but nothing quite as puzzling as the flock of birds that had fallen from the huge old Maple tree, each one as lifeless as the other.

Jessie Turnbull placed her basket on the floor, walked out of the door of the grocery store and swore she'd never go back. She'd never been impressed with the quality of produce there but this time they'd gone too far, filling the shelves with rotting vegetables. She made a mental note to write a letter of complaint, and then wrapped her arms around herself as a strange chill settled in her bones.

"Hello?"

"Mr Hutton?"

"Yes who is this?"

"It's Nurse Kelly at the hospital Sir. I'm sorry to bother you on your day off but Jim from maintenance said you knew who to call if our systems went down"

"Systems? What do you mean"

"Well it's the weirdest thing. I'm on station and all the EKG monitors are showing a flat line. I'm assuming it's a glitch in the Monitor System, I mean, everyone couldn't have died at once right?"

One by one the people of Vanderhaven began to feel the touch of the Necrosiac.

One by one they began to notice the taint of death on their town.

They took notice of it and then did their best to ignore it, in favor of the comfort of their daily routines.

They wrote off one strange occurrence after another until the chill in their bones and the rot surrounding them couldn't be ignored any longer but by then it was too late.

They died without knowing why.

They died and then rose again and made their way to the center of town and their new Goddess.

Food for the Necrosiac.

Pitt had better have gained some miraculous powers with his resurrection, or the world is fucked.

It's starting to feel a little disjointed. I have total faith that you will bring it all together to end it, though. :)

Cool. prepare for a heavier sort of metal, if you arent. The dynamics in the music are just great, I love how they carry a tune. Still Life and My Arms, Your Hearse are two albums I'd reccomend looking into, pretty much anything from either of the two is good, you can look the track listings up online somewhere and download a few tunes to check it out or something.

Is the dead speak anything like l33t sp34k? lol. cool intro to the end.

Whenever I read your stuff I always end up having this dark/moody/melodic music in the background. Particularly Opeth, which are like a progressive/melodeath/rock band that throws in a bit of jazz and folk too. AKA the kickers of all ass. In my mind its a great soundtrack to the stories. Its dark without being like 'oh noes evil LOLLERSKATES!!" or something. Its all progressive, most of their albums were concept albums, they tell kind of cool little stories through the lyrics. You might want to check them out or something.

Recital is a setup for the beginning of the second Necro story.

The Onion Run stories are also Necro related, in that they feature Pitt and his son.

Bro you have a great memory.

Yeah the story as a whole is a trilogy.

I don't know if they'll ever make it to Uber in their entirety though...

I kinda touched off the second part of the trilogy with the "Recital" Stories I posted some time ago.

Oh,

I should mention that this is Chapt 43 and it is the last chapter.

Necro is finally going to end.

I posted the previous chapter at a strange time and I got the feeling some may have missed it so there it is.

I seem to remember you saying something a while back about Necrosiac as a whole being a trilogy.

Not just this submission.

I may be mistaken.

Just a quick intro of what's to come.

I wrote this one quickly today out of boredom. I thought it fit in as a nice setup to the rest of Chap 43.

Too short

Are you going to do the other 2 parts as well, or is this part all you're doing here?

This is a trilogy, correct?
