Does it disturb anyone that we spend months trying to find the next "American Idol", but we only spend two weeks finding the next Pope?

To find the next Pope you have to select him from a gropu of a few hundred(?), and most of them don't want to be pope. There were about four guys who were actually running. The American "Idol" is selected from tens of thousands of jackasses who have to be heard one at a time.

This is the most ridiculous thing I have seen all day. And I started drinking at like 11 this morning, got drunk and decided that razors are getting too expensive and that I should try Nair on my head, which really hurt. And this was still dumber than that.
