Here is a selection of tracks from the second album I made. A lot of it was pretty dark and brooding, so if you're looking for something to blast out of your Rockfords in your 5.0 on the way to the club, might I suggest the classic sounds of NWA or RUN-DMC. If you're interested in waiting for the long downloads, here you go. All were written by me alone except 'To Become as Children', which was written by me and my friend Colby Townsend, who also wrote the lyrics for that one. As you can see by the lyrics, I kind of went through a pseudo-religious phase when I was younger. Most of it was a result of the Nihilistic tendencies spawning from my excessive acid use. I can't say I regret it, though, because now I can at least say that I have examined it. Been there. Done that.

Anyway, this is some pretty fucking personal stuff for me, so I hope you enjoy.

Softly Meditating 4.3MB
http://www.electrictoothsyndrome.com/songs/Tear_Open_the_Massive_Dark/softlymeditating.mp3

I feel the Cosmic Emptiness
that just wants to be filled -
Filled with all my expectations
of just what Death should feel like.
So I'm bringing Death back to Life.
I'm bathing in the Seas of Seems.
I feel the looming Hand of God
that's reaching out through the Black.
He wants me to come with Him up
on an Endless Journey,
and live for all Eternity.
I'm sailing on the Wings of God.

Reaching for Perfection 4.4MB
http://www.electrictoothsyndrome.com/songs/Tear_Open_the_Massive_Dark/reachingforperfection.mp3

Thinking of spirits gone over the sea,
my weary thoughts crawl back to you -
of whether you will one day travel with me -
a shadowy dream to pursue.
O, the sisters of vengeance, they swarm all about.
The mothers of vanity hold mirrors.
The fathers of thinking, they rumble with doubt
and memories of life's more golden years.
The spirits of mystery, they sing in the trees.
Their notes, with soft wings, fly away.
Traveling deeper than ever could these
imperfect reflections I now sing and play.
I remember a time when the world was alive
and a voice called to me deep from within,
speaking beautiful phrases, embodied in rhyme,
with words that I wouldn't mind hearing again.
If I should ever return to that place
that rings in the back of my soul.
I would gladly give up this unbearable waste,
lay down my body, and go.

The Echoing Tunnels of Dreams 7.3MB
http://www.electrictoothsyndrome.com/songs/Tear_Open_the_Massive_Dark/echoingtunnels.mp3

Let me take you to a place where the ground is not the ground,
and the sky is not the sky, it seems, but an imprisoned orb behind.
We stumble through the door. We feel we've made this trip before,
knowing only there must be something lurking 'round yonder corner,
and if our minds prove well enough to weather our journey's storm,
we discover 'tis but us who are locked in a prison'd orb.
We're locked in the wrinkles of a god's own brain, who, himself, is only created
by our world's mirror-symmetrical handshake - good and evil in solemn agreement.
We are nothing but a floating image on the rippled surface of a pond
who's vastness says nothing of our existence, yet, of whose body, we do belong.
Here there is no up or down, nor back or forth, it seems -
but a one-dimensional concept deep in the echoing tunnels of dreams.

To Become as Children 8.1MB
http://www.electrictoothsyndrome.com/songs/Tear_Open_the_Massive_Dark/tobecomeaschildren.mp3

Milquetoast I gaze into depression,
eyes fixed on this horrid intercession.
People are unsure where they are going -
absorbing the winds of pain now blowing.
Why has man lost faith in his creator?
Putting trust in what's falsely called 'knowledge'.
The Lord came to walk among His people.
O, how this reality doth blind us!
What are we but tossed within this fractal?-
A twig in a universe of fire.
Confused in chaos - the act of learning.
Innocence - the virtue of a child.

ETS, fucking hell man, you seriously need to recruit Ronny James Dio to track some manly vocals for you. Again, I can hear talent, but, just, try playing something that isn't so.....structured.

I listened to the first two.

They sound kind of Ween-ish, but serious.

+2 for not having a black goatse pic.

cool pic too! Where'd you get it?

------------

The pic is from the first edition of the Bhagavad Gita translated by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. It's considered the most important Indian religious text.

There are some pretty kickass paintings in the book.

You can see the others here: http://www.asitis.com/gallery/

This is a better form of expression than a picture of a bag of weed.

Even better--

The fact that there are actually people out there that can stomach this insincere, talentless slop--that's gotta mean something.

The stupid people are breeding. Exponentially.

Ok, I just looked over your site, and let me ask you something--

Is emo faggot wannabe cry baby the style you're hoping to project?

Or is it just natural for a goof like you?

I mean--nirvana was SO last decade, don't you think you should give it a rest? Or how about this--just give up on music all together, because by now you must know you're heaped in with about ten thousand other emo faggot sissies all trying for the fame and attention their dads never gave them.

Hasn't that occured to you--that at best, you're average? I'm a huge fan of indie music, but the way that voice sounds--is he just trying to suck as much as humanly possible? I mean--this kind of mediocrity can't just be accidental can it?

I mean--you must take this shit seriously. How else could you so consistently put out such drivel?

And that's the funniest part about the circus side show freak you are--

You think you're worth something.

softly meditating woulda been awesome as an instrumental . if you could try and project a little bit of anger through your vocals, you'd rock dude .

No, it's all original. No samples.

The production value of the music is excellent, do you sample or is that all original?

Seriously, the lyrics and singing are horrible. All the effects can't hide that.
