Closer stay
Away from me,
More like rain'water,
Prairies dry up
And cracks appear,
Flowers wilt,
Dead things crunch
Underfoot.
Closer stay

more like sun'glow,
Chilled panes of frosted glass
Broken in pieces,
All alive things
Underground.
Closer stay

Blue'black on the faces
