It works likes this: see, she says she likes you, right?
Well do you like her back? Of course you do. Go with the flow.
Well then you get to know her better, considering you just met.
Well isn't it a little naïve to say you liked her to begin with?
Not if you meant it... not if you meant it at all.
Well maybe it works likes this: see, you tell her you like her, right?
Well then she explains that she doesn't know, considering her feelings.
Feelings not meant to be aborted.
Feelings only the third party can bequeath.
Feelings? Instinct is all you need, baby doll. Screw feelings.
You know something she doesn't, and she feels something you can't.
Hold on, what does that mean? Anything at all?
Should you know something she doesn't?
Should she really feel something... that you can't?
Liking is a third grade reflex... but what beyond liking is there to express?
You don't love... you're too young. You're too stupid.
You think there's something beyond liking, and... well... there is.
But how can you express that into words? There are some things that need not be said at all.
You know something she doesn't.
Close your eyes, it will all be over soon. So very, very soon.
And then it is.
After one simple date... things come to a crashing halt.
She closes the book, and ends your flying reverie. You can stop caring now.
You can stop feeling. You can stop everything you ever wanted. It's that easy.
She says it never was... could never be... the third party still lingers in this bleeding heart.
But no... because will the third party ever care?
Will the third party ever care beyond caring?
No, he won't, and she just doesn't see it.
Too superficial to notice the beauty beyond what lays in front of her naked eye.
Too careless to notice the abandoned soul standing in front of her.
What she never noticed at all though, is that she's just fooling herself.
Things aren't as she sees them.
She has too much in common with that abandoned soul to just let go.
How can SHE be so naïve as to say that she felt nothing?
Did she really feel nothing at all? Was everything so superficial that nothing in her heart reacted when you told her how you felt?
Well what say you now?
You never told her. You never got the chance.
She ended your dream so fast, that time came to a halt, and you realized something.
You can't let things end this way. This isn't a good ending.
You have to become what a shadow cannot.
A shadow cannot become anything more than it is, because energy won't allow it.
A shadow is perfect, and simple.
It can't sin, and it never forgets.
You can't accept things as they are, but you have to go beyond them and kick up the dust on your way.
Defy what physics say you cannot fight back.
This third party won't ever feel the way you feel, and act the way you act.
Hell, he'll never look the way you look either, he's too pretty. What are you?
Just a shadow. Taking whatever shape has to be taken, just to avoid getting killed.
The only thing you aren't is perfect. You're far from it.
But now it's time to bounce back from adversity.
Now it's time to break out, and finish what you started.
It isn't love, but it sure is close.
And you know that she feels it too.
She feels something that you couldn't.
But now things are different. You feel. You care.
So your question is this: Does she really care?
Even a little?
If so, work from there, it doesn't have to end so abruptly.
If not, then no further questions your honor.
But you do have one more thing to say, I can see it in your eyes.
Like... love... care not for what it seems like someone might be.
Learn to know.
You may not be the best looking kid on the block, but that shouldn't matter.
She shouldn't care.
And if she does?
She really does feel something you couldn't.
