Warning: This message contains harsh dialogue and should not be read by people who voted for Bush thinking he was the moral one. In other words, idiots should move on to another message.
You know what? Zell Miller is a fucking cunt.
I haven't posted here in forever, but I have to get this stuff off my chest. So to anyone who remembers me, hi, how you doing? To everyone else, there's pretty much no point of getting to know me because I'm going to blow my wad and then bail, but hi.
So, Zell Miller is a fucking cunt. The distinguished "Democrat" from Georgia (who is indistinguishable from any Republican) was on the Daily Show plugging his book last night. I think it's called Nation of Indecency, but I'm not even going to give it a hit on Amazon (I'm sure some of you piece of shit Republicans will. Good for you). I just have to love how this fucking turd has the nerve to say that our nation has become indecent after he spoke at the RNC, licking the balls of his fearless leader George W. Bush.
By the way, let's make a new tee-shirt/bumper sticker that says the following: YOU CAN'T SPELL "WORST PRESIDENT EVER" WITHOUT 'W'!
Anyway . . . Zell Miller apparently thinks that using potty words in rap songs is indecent. Meanwhile, he's clearly okay with lying to the nation for the soul purpose of leading us into wara war that is CLEARLY about oil (for those of you who STILL say it's not about oil, you are fucking lying to yourself. Argue all you want, but deep down, you know. Or maybe you don't, in which case you are truly, utterly retarded) and helping out the veep's buddies is Halliburton. Apparently the wolf in sheep's clothing thinks that the fact that every American doesn't go to church is much more indecent than robbing the nation of health care so Bush's drug company cronies can make a few extra billion dollars. That's where Miller's and the right's priorities aregetting rid of the f-word (Cheney's favorite word, I've heard) on TV and forcing religion on the nation.
I hate George W. Bush. I really do. But at least the fucker is consistent. He is a piece of shit Republican and hasn't claimed to be something different. Don't get me wrong, he misrepresents himself all the time, but anyone who has paid attention in the last fifty or so years realizes what that party is aboutscrewing over the little man so that big business can rake in more bucks; screwing over the environment so that big business can save a few bucks on regulations; picking fights with other nations so that big business can make a few bucks on profiteering. Do you see a pattern? This party that calls itself "The Party of Lincoln" actually expects us to believe that giving itself that moniker will actually make us think that if Abe were alive today, he would be on the side of big business. Unfortunately, many of us do fall for it.
I'm getting off track. Bush has always freely admitted he was a Republican. Miller undeservedly wears the mantle of Democrat. He says the Party has left him. Anyone who is honest will himself will tell you that this Republican Party is more conservative than it has been in years. The Democrats have had no room to move further to the left. Miller is a hypocrite; that's all there is to it.
I'm sure I'm preaching to a combination of the converted and the unconvertible, but I had to vent to someone. Hopefully I haven't actually pushed any of you idiot Republicans into buying his book. Deep down, the Republican Party looks out for its own and ultimately, Zell Miller was someone who helped the president get re-elected, but isn't really one of them. So I don't think they'll buy his book. But if you think that even though his brain works like a Republican's, his wallet is more like that of a Democrat, then go ahead and buy his ugly little tirade. Enjoy.

Oh, and by the way Sammy, Zell Miller is a REAL democrat, in the tradition of Kennedy, Truman, and FDR. You're a little newborn punk, so you only know about the democrats of today, who are really socialists. MIller has been a democrat since before you were born, so why don't you shut your uninformed mouth and go read some history?

If Abe was alive today, he would look at how offensive rap is, then kill himself for freeing the slaves.

rad, fyi, I don't care about differing opinions here as I'm just venting. I know that this site is all about the conversation, but for me, this was just the easiest way to give my opinion since I gave up my blog. I'm checking out, so -2 me all you want. Good day!

I don't understand why he doesn't just switch parties. Couldn't he have thrown the Senate back to the Repubs after Jeffords jumped ship?

Most people here would say I'm fairly open minded about politics, so let me qualify this -2.
-2 die because the only thing you back your points up with is this "if you disagree with what I have to day you are an obvious moron, or too stupid to realize you are fooling yourself" progoganda.
People on the extreme left are just as bad as those on the right, my friend.
May I suggest you ignore politics, spark up another blunt, and enjoy your life without getting your panties all in a bunch.

"you could take care of the mess, but another group of dickweeds will do the exact same thing. i think that the problem stems from how these people are raised. many programs in government (and society for that matter) are based on the theory that man is good. by nature, man is evil - these programs will fail."
sass is on the money right here and this is essentially what Zen is saying.

on a side note, you can't just make this problem vanish.
this problem (republicans giving big business the ol' reacharound) is a festering boil on the epidermis of the republican party, and i don't like it one bit. most people want a quick solution to the problem, but to solve the problem you have to go to the heart of the matter...this is where morals and decency come into play. you could take care of the mess, but another group of dickweeds will do the exact same thing. i think that the problem stems from how these people are raised. many programs in government (and society for that matter) are based on the theory that man is good. by nature, man is evil - these programs will fail.
poop, i've got work to do...but i'll be back on this post in a while...
like i said, this is just a side note and something that popped into my head (somewhat related)...
here's a +2 to make up for the hateful -2's

Sass, you're a moron. I didn't say that Lincoln would be for the dirty language, did I? No. In fact, I didn't even suggest he wouldn't think that decency would be an issue. I'm saying he wouldn't be a Republican. Try to read what people write, huh?

i don't know why you drag ol' abe lincoln into this.
zell was talking about morals and decency. if abe lincoln was alive today and heard the way the rap artists talk about women (for example), he'd knock 'em the fuck out. if you think, for one minute, he would stand for the perversion and moral decay that exists today, you're dead wrong. i'm not saying i'd agree with all that abe stood for back in his day, i'm just saying you don't have a clue what you're talking about when you bring abe into the picture.
ignorant asshat.

A Deficit Of Decency
by Zell Miller, Sean Hannity (Foreword)
"In February of 2004, Senator Zell Miller delivered the speech "A Deficit of Decency" on the Senate floor. The speech considered the very soul of America and generated an unexpectedly massive response from people across the nation.
Expanding on this theme in his new book by the same title, former U.S. Senator and Georgia Governor Zell Miller identifies a wide range of issuesfrom media and sports role models, to the judiciary, to the decline of traditional Christian values of the family, responsibility and sacrificewhere an absence of decency is threatening the heart of America.
"A Deficit of Decency" addresses specific issues where Miller sees a need to return to a basic sense of duty. Miller writes in the preface, "There have been ten generations of Americans since this nation was founded....Each left this nation in a little better condition than they had inherited it from their parents. This is the first generation at risk of doing the opposite. Why? I have come to believe that it is because we failed to acknowledge and discipline ourselves with the spiritual truths that have made us great for these two hundred yearsfaith, family, country, values. This book is about how one man thinks they may be restored and yet save this great civilization from itself."
In "A Deficit of Decency," Miller also speaks candidly about the values that led him to attack his own party and deliver a keynote speech at the 2004 Republican National Convention. These same values, he believes, are desperately needed at the heart of American culture. Miller explains, "There were two primary reasons I could not go where my lifelong political party wanted to take me. I seriously questioned its judgment on how to respond to the threat of terrorism, the most serious national security issue of the post Cold War era. But I also came to be repelled by the secularism that had engulfed its thinking and smothered its soul."
Miller writes from the unique perspective of his rise to and service as Governor and United States Senator, drawing upon public service in each of the past six decades. Miller has written six books, including "Corps Values" and the New York Times bestseller "A National Party No More"."
