hi there. i'm new...i don't know the protocol around here...should i make an introductory post? "hi, my name is..."? should i write something witty about current events? politics? star wars?

i'd actually like to write a reply to a post that was made here. you all know my good friend and yours, djmattb241...? i had noticed this was his homepage while visiting one day, and he had mentioned a post he made *somewhere* about, well, "us". so, i put my trusty google skills to work and found it. (btw, you can find out a LOT more about a person by googling their various screen names instead of their actual name.) moving on.

yes, i have a "FUCK BUSH" sticker on my car. yes, i voted for kerry. and yes, i was completely shocked to see the word "love"; nay "LOVE" in there. i had no idea he felt that way.
i also had no idea that my political stance bothered him that much. it's come up exactly twice in conversation...the first time, (i thought) we agreed to disagree, and the second i had told him that it bugged me. sometimes. it wasn't like every time we were together or talking i was like "OMG HE VOTED FOR BUSH! EEK!" it was more like being a bit irked at seeing that book "how to talk to a liberal, if you really have to" (or whatever it's called) in his room. anyway, that hardly matters anymore. back to love.
let's start at the beginning...being the geeks we are, we're both on myspace. it's actually how we met. the friend he spoke of met him there, then introduced us. i remember the first night we all hung out...we were comparing cell phones for cryin out loud...camera quality, wallpapers, ringtones...wow. did i just admit that? heh.
so, yeah. it was apparant to my friend that i kind of liked her geek. i assured her that wasn't the case, and even after they stopped seeing each other in a romantic sort of way, she still didn't like the fact that we had gone out for coffee; that we stayed side by side the whole time we all went out to see live dj's at the local club...er, bar. long story short, she got over it. she has a great boyfriend now and i hardly ever see her.
...shit. where was i? OH...myspace. yes the wonderful internets...wonderful, fabulous internets. the issue now? he likes some girl from california. that he also met on myspace. and as of 2 nights ago, he couldn't make up his mind. "what's some 20 year old girl 3,000some miles away got that i haven't got?" i asked myself. a million times.
ouch.
we discussed it. i got upset (obviously). so that brings us to the present...here i am, asking the same people he asked for your advice/opinions. at first, i wanted to throw my hands in the air and say "fuckit!" ala "he's just not that into you". but i LOATHE that book. so, in typical kryss fashion, i whipped out the ol' "i always get what i want" attitude, and decided to stick it out.
maybe i do love him.
...maybe i don't need advice after all.
