Well,
Least of you guys would be interested in knowing what I did last night. Thats simply because its another Friday morning (IST) . And, I guess people are in offices so they would not willfully want to spend their time reading this stuff. I also know of some people who will give into the calling of the temptation and simply read thru'. They will not respond on email but will definitely
ask me, "Hey, Have you no work?" Well, my dears....its 4 in the morning as I type. This will probably be "Ctrl+V"ed at 9 in the office email box.
In either cases, let me give you a brief insight. I watched Schindler's List last night.
I remember watching the movie ages ago. It was released in 1993.
I remember watching the movie because my new classmates in school (Pune) told me that there were a bunch of NICE scenes. Yeah, I watched them and man was it a feast as we called it. But why were those people running?
Why were the humans (read: HUMANS !!!) asked to strip ?
What happened last night was a gory repetition of the things that took place for those 6 years.
If someone remembers the movie closely, its mostly in Black and White. Right ?
NO !! It has a girl in a Red dress. The girl who manages to walk around from one line to the another while HUMANS are being loaded into trucks. Its the same girl whose body is dug out and put in the mass pyre since the forces will move in a few days. Sorry, it wasn't her dead body. It was carcass. Probably rotten. Like some of our souls. So what got me totally depressed (read : Brain Fucked) was the sorry state of affairs that ruined the Axis for 6 long years.
It wasn't tyranny, it wasn't Hitler, It wasn't Power.
(Remember, Power is when we have every justification to kill and we don't ?).
It drove me to such a brain fucked point that I wished I could do something. SOMETHING eh ? And then your inner voice shakes you and says, "Yeah Right ? Like you became SOMEONE and Did SOMETHING in life ?" You gotta be more specific man. And what more, the war got over LONG ago. So please live in present, not in past. Don't you see Its a beautiful world ? You have Telephone, You have internet, you have people who will pose as women on the Internet. You have virtual fun.
Let us analyse this a little.
You spend millions of Dollars on reasearch to find more about human evolution. You spend Zillions of Dollars on manufacturing and selling weapons. ( i simply loved the scene when Mr.Schindler says "If any of these shells ever worked, I'd be very unhappy Mr.Shtern"). Some of them have it easier, we simply have the Nuclear Weapons stolen. Some of them simply push in aircrafts into good looking Tall buildings. After all, why should tall buildings stand for long. They just give jobs to a number of people and help them to earn a good living. I guess thats must be a very sad thought. Incidentaly, such building also turn out to be Economy Epicenteres. So, fundamentally America gets nuked and the Asian, African and Australian markets crash.
Sounds Funny? Read on, its not. You want to know how I felt when those poor bastards jumped the nth floor? That was their office once. How do you feel when you are a six year old and you hide in the potty compost to hide from the killing machines ? Probably if their guns don't find you, you'd die of stench. How do you feel when you are policing your own people, getting bribed and then slamming them with a stick. Now tell me, What the FUCK do we mean by YOUR people? Aren't all people alike. Where the hell does your soul vanish when you say "them and us" ?
What gives us business today ? War what else......?
About ten years ago, I learnt bits and pieces of German. I did not follow the movie since a lots of Polish was involved. But ask me and I'll tell you that they were praying and that they were hoping that the departed souls may rest in peace. Shame, I understand the emotions. Crimes of a Human Nature ?
Lets look at it this way.....
Whose at war ? Nations ? Politics ? Military ? Business men ?
I guess, Its none of them.....Its a war within. Its deep inside (y)our psyche. One may be an emotionless killing machine in broad daylight but then remember, the dusk follows and then the darkness. If you've ever hurt someone and you are aware of it, It will chase you. It will not leave you calm.
Thats where the war is....
I was depressed. Possibly, because I missed an opportunity to meet a great man, thats why ! Wish i could meet Mr. Oskar Schindler. Therez so much to learn from him. If you go to see, he satisfied all his wants (Women, panache, business, fame, best of wines, cars, Villas) yeah the materialistic wants and also satisfied his spiritual needs (you saw that affectionate kiss he gave the lil gal on his birthday ?).
I guess, he must've bargained a place in heaven.
The movie was simply amazing. For once, I am going to go to Israel to see his grave and pay my tributes. Its not a very good thought to compare but I guess, it would've been great had Gandhi been replaced by THIS man.
I will close now. Its early morning and I need to workout. I will leave you with a fact.
Only about a hundful of Jews survived the holocaust in Poland and currently number 6000 .
The Schindler Jews decendents number 6000.
He managed to save 1100 and he cried to be ableto save a few more. He'd give away the last thing he had to trade a human.
Was he trading humans ?
Ask me ! He was trading souls.
I guess he was the man who one His war. The war between the Good and the Bad.
Rascal, bribed God into it too.
Sorry for the bad post folx, but i am too impressed with him and he is definitely a role model now.

A "Crusader Rabbit" he was not.
He still provided the "oil" to keep the German "machinery" running for a long while.
Simple correspondence to the "right" people(Thru established channels) could and
would have saved many many more lives.

Dude, it's a movie, not a documentary. Still I kind of liked the sentiment, such as I could make out.

It's a little bit of both. Check out the book by Thomas Kennealy. He interviewed every living Schindlerjuden when he wrote it.

Hey dumbass, I'll pay you $10,000 to say that in front of one of the Schindlerjuden or one of their children.
You call him a war profiteer, yet he died penniless. You call him greedy, but according to accounts from every Schindlerjuden present when he left, he was broken up that his Mercedes could have gotten more people. He didn't notice that the fortunes of war were turning at an early stage, he was outright horrified at what was happenening to the Jews BEFORE the Final Solution was implemented. Care to explain how shells that wouldn't fire kept the German machinery oiled? How many times was he caught doing something that should have had him killed under German laws?
He used his cultivated connections within the Nazi Party to do what he could to undo the party's agenda. You say fuck him because he could have done more? I say bless him for doing something. Anything. That's more than we can say for most in Europe, including the revered Catholic Church.
Oskar Schindler was and always will be a hero, while you remain a complete fucking moron and a waste of my fucking oxygen.
