McDonalds-
No matter how much of a hippy or a freak health nut we may claim to be we all have eaten there before. Its chemically enhanced beef and chicken and salad and ice cream like byproducts form nice and tasty patties and other food shaped units. Scientists and movies have been telling us for years not to eat there, but I'll be the first to admit, a plain double cheeseburger and a chicken sandwich with cheese and fries and a nice tall Coke is satisfying once in a while
But
Is it pronounced MacDonalds...
Or MickDonalds (Which is an insult to the Irish. For shame)
Me and a fellow Uber Poonhole have a little wager going...
To help inspire you here is a picture of clogged arteries (most likely Electro's)

Muckdonalds actually.

And I'm pretty sure that's not an onion ring, but a cross section of an artery from someone who has just eaten at MuckDonalds.

In the usa all the commercials were "Did somebody say MICK-Donalds." Which is rightfully so, because its McDonalds. MC=mick, not mac. That is all I know.

It's said with a 'mac' sound.
Just about everyone I know calls McDonald's "Macca's" for short.
But then again anything with a "Mc" name gets shortened to "Macca" in Australia.

For fucks sake it's mack and I can prove it.
Mc is of course some kind of weird scottish pre thing that they put on their names. Don't ask me why, they just do. To be precise; it is pronounced 'muk'. Mac is an irish thing (although it may be low land scottish. In any case it's another 'weird British thing') and is pronounced 'mack'. So you have either a kind of muk or for people who aren't Scottish, mack.
Here endeth the lesson.

It's MICKDonalds. Mc is a scottish prefix meaning "son of" it is added to a name when a new or branch clan. For example if the son of a memeber of the Donald were to go to a new area and start a new branch of the Donald clan his clan would be the McDonald clan because they were started by the "son of Donald". Also Burger King is better!!!

In England its pronounced MAC Donalds
Its an accent thing

Ummm... my litle bit of England pronouces it MucDonalds... At least, if you're not a Chav you do.

Regional dialects differ, so too does pronunciation.
It SHOULD, for all intents and purposes, be pronounced MAC-Donalds but the MICK-Donalds prevails, especially in the eastern half of the country. I have heard it pronounced MacDonalds in other parts of the country.
Pop or soda, it's always different somewhere else.
