OK, this is my first post...ever. I have been cruising through this site for about a total of one whole paycheck (applause), and I have noticed something that both excites and frustrates me. Let me explain...I see that there are just as many from the US as there are from all over the world posting regularly, and there seems to be a moderate spell of tension caused by a language gap. I see that some posts are replyed to completely out of context by Americans due to the odd vernacular of European folks.
Now before you jump my shit let me say I am all for "biscuts", "football", and "pub" as opposed to "cookies", "soccer", and "bar", but we need to correct this issue as soon as possible...someone could get hurt. If there are any Euros that would be willing to help us fat, lazy, gun slingin', under educated, war-mongers out it would be appriciated.
This post comes as a result of reading the word pikeie...I am curious, what the HELL is a pikeie? I would not like to leave my knowlege of slang terms from abroad in the hands of a character portrayed by Brad Pitt. Fill me in...just throw some words out there!
Thanks limeys(hope thats not offensive, I don't know what the fuck that means either)
p.s. Canadian slang not required or desired, we already know what the fuck you guys are all aboot.

Yeah, Pikey's are basically Irish travellers. There not all bad to be fair, back when I worked in Leamington they had a social program where they'd pay smack heads 100 quid to drive stolen cars back to their camp.

secondly we are called limeys because sailors used to eat a huge amount of limes to fight off scurvy and because the only Brits americans ever used to meet were sailors they thought we all had a weird lime fetish.
