No matter what, the lake is far. That little bit of lake you see on the map isn't a swimming area or anything, it's a boat dock. It is marked "No Swimming" with a big DO NOT sign!
The original sites are all in the open, packed together, with no trees (which provide shade and privacy).
The new sites are not even 1000 feet from the first sites... but they are in the woods. Which means Privacy and Shade.
The sites are much better. Trust me. YOU WILL THANK ME LATER!
(I'm being snotty today, aren't I? I must have metal deposits in my teeth from all those cavities I had filled when I was little!!!!)

We have 3 spots open right now... so 3 more people can definatly come.
Oh, and Tim- the new job... Mortgage Banker. Sales type stuff. I don't know FOR SURE I've got it until Monday, but my friends who already work there say "Dude, you are in. Definatly in. They loved you". So, I'm assuming that they are right in their asumptions.
The only think I'm having a TINGE of worry about is "Oh my god, what if I have to work the camping weekend????".

Everyone else- I'm changing the reservations.
WHY?
Because I was right, god damn it. We don't want those sites I reserved. I drove to the campground and looked around today, and those sites suck. They are all sunny and small, and the whole area there is wide open (no trees), so there will be no shade and No privacy.
The sites at the back (the ones I originally wanted) are all woodsy and secluded.
And, as far as being near everything... no matter what, the beach is far. I think people will actually end up driving to the beach, due to far-ness and lazy-ness. You could walk, but I'm guessing from Any campsite, it's about half a mile. Which isn't too bad, really.
So I'm going to see if I can change the reservations, due to the fact that I don't want to be all in the sun and all around everyone and their everybodies.
I will let you know which sites we're getting... that is, if they will allow for change in the reservations.
PLUS, the sites that are woodsy are only like 1/10 of a mile from the sites we now have... so either way.
