EL SEGUNDO, CA-

The Mattel Corporation has announced a new line of toys based around the popular new movie Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. These toys will represent the main characters in the movie, and can duplicate key lines from the movies with the miniature speakers in the mouths.

"The designers of the toys took great pains to make each figure as realistic as possible," said Mattel spokesman Kevin Fredericks. "For example, the figure representing Anakin Skywalker, who is played in the movie by Hayden Christensen, is wooden, much as is his character in the movie."

Another feature on the dolls, created specifically for these figures, is movable facial features to create different conditions. Fredericks demonstrated this exciting new feature on the figure of Padme, played in the movie by Natalie Portman. Just as in the movie, the figure features two main facial characteristics: loving concern, and concerned love. Although more emotions are possible, the dolls attempt to stay lifelike to the movies by only mirroring the emotions shown on screen.

Indeed, said Fredericks, in Mattel focus groups, nearly 90 percent of participants could not tell the difference between a few mock scenes of Episode III, filmed with the dolls, and the real scenes from the movie.

The final feature the new Episode III dolls have is the ability to interact with each other. When placed in close proximity to each other, the dolls will exchange dialogue taken directly from the movie. For example, when Fredericks placed the Anakin doll next to the Padme doll, the following exchange was played:

Anakin: I love you.

Padme: I love you.

Anakin: I love you so much, you are very beautiful.

Padme: Your love has made you blind then.

According to Fredericks, there are several possible dialogue sets for each pair of characters, although they may sound quite similar to the untrained ear. The dolls come with props as well, such as lightsabers for the Jedi characters, and babies for Padme. More accessories, as well as additional dialogue options, will be sold separately.

While Mattel currently plans to market and sell the characters individually, Fredericks said that the company may release a separate line of action figures, designed to be more marketable to younger audiences, as they will be less faithful to the movies, and significantly more flexible in their roles. A press release will be made available at a later date regarding this other line of toys.

You know what's funny? I love Star Wars. Oops. That's not funny. What's funny is that this story was released in El Sagundo, CA.

I left my wallet in El Sagundo once.

haha. I wonder if Lucas has ever been laid with lines like that? I can see him laying on a beach somewhere with some fat nerd chick dressed up as Amadala and he's like "The sand is rough ... you are beautiful ... I mean ... I love you, let's fuck."

He could probably pull it off. I bet you nerd girls are throwing the pussy at him all the time ... Actually, I think even his most loyal followers wouldn't fuck him. Poor Lucas. It's a nerds life.

I'd just like to say that I did, in fact, enjoy the movie, but it certainly did have its flaws.

saying is, don't mess up France the way you messed up your room.
