So here I am again, laying on a strange girls bed who I met an hour ago. The sex was sex, nothing special about it. I could tell from looking at her that she had needed it though. Probably was abused or neglected by her father growing up and needed sex for some sense of male companionship. Whatever, not my problem if she's fucked up, I'm just glad to get some ass out of the deal.
The only part of this that has me surprised is that I'm still here. It's the middle of a Thursday afternoon so I know I'm not expected to stay, but it just feels good. She's laying on top of me naked, resting her head on my chest. Quite possibly this is my favorite part of sex, being able to pretend that there's nobody she'd rather be with than me and I with her. When you're used to lying to everyone you ever have known it's not that hard to lie to yourself like this.
A few minutes pass before she tells me the inevitable, that I'll have to leave soon. What catches me off guard is that it's so she can go to her therapist. Doesn't she know the game? I could have sworn when I met her she knew to never divulge what's really going on inside her mind to people. They'll only use it against you in the end. Yet here she is telling me about her depression, the different types of meds she's on, and her cutting problem.
Before I know it I'm letting her in too, telling her about my attempted suicide and how I used to take pills but that I quit a long time ago. We go into detail about our different times at psych wards and discuss how useless therapy really is. The whole time we're laughing. Not at each other, but at how absurd it is for people who just met to be talking like this to one another. Though it is a lot easier to open up to someone when you know that you'll never see them ever again.
Before we know it it's time for her to get going. We both get dressed and walk to our cars. I give her a hug goodbye, because even after having sex with each other we both know that kissing would be far too intimate. We're back in auto-pilot now, pretending our momentary lapse in our defenses never occurred. When she asks if she'll ever see me again I give her the expected we'll see, which we both really know means no. I get in my car first and drive off with the sun shining right in my face. Damn it, I knew I should have brought my sunglasses.
