I can honestly say that I have seen alot of weird stuff in my life BUT this has to take the cake.
Do you think this ad actually discourages domestic violence or encourages it...

I agree, but the fact that it was so over-the-top, and such a catastrophic failure at its intended purpose, made it hilariously funny to me. It blew away any skit SNL or MAD-TV has done lately.
And who hasn't felt like doing that at a restaurant, at least once?

I just felt this advertisement had to be shared, the fact that nobody is helping her or that she is beaten half to death just left me with this angry feeling. I didnt feel like it makes people want to change or wives to seek help. I think it just shows the power of the aggressor and ultimately the consequences if a women is to seek help.
This ad is just a stupid idea done in poor taste (my opinon at least)

Won't have an impact. An abuser won't suddenly cease their behavior because of a public service commercial.
