My palms are on fire.

This keyboard is in fantastic shape, the lights are bright, and I can hear the vetilation system humming at it's own health. But my palms are ablaze.

Wrath.
Fire.
Malice.

The thought of flame begs curiosty, but finds confusion. I am convinced the seven deadly sins, while they annexed my cerebrum at the tender age of 12, have stayed clear of my hands (with the exception of those nights where I find myself alone with a box of kleenex and an internet connection, and run-on sentences with poor grammar and inventive uses for parentheses).

But I'm here now.
Here at work.
No malice.

"But you have an internet connnection!" I hear you scream.

And a fire is a-burnin'! Even though my extremely sexy co-worker is just around the cube corner, listening to that same healthy, chrome colored cylindrical ventilation shaft exhale its vigor, lust is gone. All that is primal within me has faded into a mist of pleated pants, midnight technology, and that god-damn ventilation shaft.

My palms are on fire.
