I'm tired of looking at you. I'm tired of gazing, of staring, of trying to send pure, unbridled emotion through these spherical windows of mine. I'm so tired of seeing what I just cannot have.
Since the day I met you, I knew you were something special. I knew that if you just saw what I saw, together we could tear this place apart. And all you had to do was be open to a new idea, to give someone new a chance.
You always said the perfect guy is out there, just waiting for you to come along. You always said it'd be the person you'd least expect, the person right in front of your eyes. And I have to wonder, have you never seen a movie? Or a television show? Or read a book? If you had, maybe you'd realize just how blind you really are.
Don't you see? I was with you through everything. I was with you when your love interest of four years took you to prom, and then ignored you the entire night. When you ran off crying into the shadows, he didn't follow you, I did. I rescued you from the darkness and took you back to the light, and, I hope, made your night a little bit better.
But yet you still fell asleep on his shoulder on the bus ride back. How could you make me watch that? How could you be so hypocritical, so utterly stupid, to not see that he would only hurt you again?
And at the post-party, where he made you take some synthetic heroin, did he sit with you while your eyes glazed over and you went pale as a ghost? Did he do anything besides try to pump you full of more drugs? Did he even give one iota of a damn what he was doing to you?
And for you to get in his car an hour later, while you were both high out of your minds? Didn't you see that you were making the biggest mistake of your life, that the boy who actually cared about you had been holding your hand all along?
I stayed by you as you moved past him, as you finally showed a bit of common sense...but I was still there to see you say yes to the boy who cheated on you less than a day before.
Oh, he loves you, all right, loves you like a fat kid loves cake. Only long enough to consume it until it's gone. But you'll never see that. You'll never see any of that. You're blind, blind to the shining ray of hope that pierces through the haze you used to call life.
Why can't you just figure it out? Why can't you just get it into your head that your best friend is more than a friend, he's in love with you? That in order for me to not hurt you, I have to smile as you slowly tear me apart? That if you really meant "best friends forever," you'd know that's love?
I am right here. Right here. I always have been, and I swear I'll never leave. I want you to see that.
So please...
Just open your eyes.

Well sorry that the things that I feel like writing about don't suit your needs.
And for the record, I neither listen to emo or wear pants that are too small. You don't have to be quote-unquote "emo" to have some goddamn feelings in this world, and I wish you people who are "sick of whiny posts" would figure that out.

Well I imagine this one was getting +2's because it was well-written, engaging, and perhaps even mentally stimulating for those with an IQ over 90. You know, all the qualities of a good post on a writer's forum. I mean, any idiot could see that, right?

A story about some guy whining because he can't get a girl who loves guys to drug her up and walk all over her is neither engaging or mentally stimulating, it's pathetic. But it was well written, I will give you that. However I still think it is a don't bother post. If I wanted to hear about dudes getting walked over because they care so much I would be wearing pants that are too small and listening to emo.

I am crying more emo tears.
I mean seriously what the gay? Why are all these whiny posts getting +2 today.
Forget that bitch, she doesn't want you as a boyfriend, she wants you as somebody to pick up the pieces when she goes out with another piece of garbage.

Good post, and I hate to say this, but it sounds like she'll never love you.

Tragic really, but true. A lot of girls are like that, though they do grow out of it eventually. Well, the ones that don't end up trapped anyway.
Unlucky mate.

I know what you mean, but what teenage girl isn't?
It really didn't help that I had Coldplay's "Fix You" on loop while writing this.

If you're going through the slightest bit of relationship trouble, Coldplay is guaranteed to make you bawl your eyes out until you're sick. I love them.
